What was Elvis Presley's childhood and family like?
Elvis had many obstacles in his life beginning with the knowledge that he was the only baby/son to survive when he was on January 8, 1935. Elvis' twin brother, Jessie (named after Elvis' grandfather) Garon, was born "stillborn" (i.e. dead).
Elvis had many medical conditions as a child including; asthma, chronic insomnia, sleepwalking, anxiety, allergies, etc.
Elvis and his family were very poor.
At one point Elvis' lost his Father, Vernon Presley, as he spent time in jail for altering a check (note: Vernon made full restitution to the state and to the injured party).
Elvis was "different" in the way he expressed himself, the diversity of his taste in music/style, and even the clothes he wore.
After he became famous, during the height of his fame, he was drafted into the US Army where he served from 1958-1960.
Elvis' beloved Mother died on August 14, 1958 and Elvis never got over losing his mother and knew that his being away in the Army wore heavily on her heart.
Elvis was one of the first celebrities whose marriage problems, resulting in a divorce decree issued on October 9, 1973, were made public in the newspapers - TV - radio, etc. Elvis loved his daughter, Lisa Marie, and had to adjust to the reality that his time with her would be limited, but of quality, because of the divorce.
As Elvis' heath issues increased (i.e. problems with his eyesight, his digestive system, pain in his joints/bones/knee/back, heart, etc.) so did his dependency of prescribed medications.
In 1977 a book entitled "Elvis, What Happened", which was written in part by two of his oldest friends who had worked with Elvis from his earliest days until 1976, disclosed Elvis' use of prescription medications. In spite of his ill health, and fearing his fans would abandon him, Elvis kept his contractual obligations and allowed the filming of his live concert. Elvis looked very "bad" and the swelling was obvious to anyone and yet he sang his heart out and hit notes that few singers could ever hope to hit. He (literally) gave his fans all that he had.
The obstacles Elvis had were not wholly unique to him but one of the lessons of Elvis' life is to use the talents you are blessed with and the harder the obstacle the sweeter it is when you overcome it - learn from it - and help others to do the same.

Where did Elton John play his first show?
He started out as a pub pianist in 1962 at the age of only 15, playing at The Northwood Hills Hotel in London. He covered songs by Ray Charles and Jim Reeves, as well as singing some material he'd written himself. During the end of his time here, he was in a short-lived band called The Corvettes.
In '64 he and some friends formed an R & B band called Bluesology; over the next two years he divided his time between doing solo gigs at a London hotel bar, working as a courier for a music publishing company, and working with Bluesology. By the mid-'60s, the band was backing American soul and R & B musicians such as The Isley Brothers, Doris Troy and Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles. In '66, they were invited to become the main backing group for Long John Baldrey, and played 16 gigs with him at London's Marquee Club.
After failing auditions for lead singer in the bands King Crimson and Gentle Giant, John (then still known as Reginald Dwight) answered an advert placed in the New Musical Express placed by Ray Williams, then the A&R man for Liberty Records. When they met, Williams gave Dwight a stack of song lyrics written by Bernie Taupin which needed melodies written for them. Dwight duly wrote tunes for some of the songs, posted them to Taupin who was impressed with them, and this cemented their musical partnership which still continues today. in '67, the two recorded Scarecrow, which was to become the first Elton John single. Six months later, Dwight changed his name to Elton John in tribute to Bluesology saxophonist ELTON Dean and to Long JOHN Baldry.
The team of John and Taupin became staff songwriters for DJM Records in '68, writing material for artists like Roger Cook and Lulu. By the following year, John was acting as session pianist for band such as The Hollies, Roger Hodgson, and The Scaffold. On the advice of music publisher Steve Brown, the duo began writing more complex songs for Elton to sing, which included 'I've Been Loving You' and 'Lady Samantha'. On 3rd June '69, Elton released his first album Empty Sky. The follow-up album, called simply Elton John, came out in April 1970, and thenceforth, his musical career took off and has gone from strength to strength.
What kind of Music does Bon Jovi Play?
As a life of the band long fan... Its some pure and simple Rock and Roll.
A rock concert in a medium sized club with profesional equipment could go up to 107db.
Mind you everything above 80db is extremly harmfull for your ears!
120 db is the painlimit!
When you go to a club or concert do not shout in someones ear, you wouldn't do that at home either. Always wear earplugs.

What are the largest selling heavy metal albums?
I'm guessing that you mean the modern Metal influenced Post-Hardcore bands like A Day To remember rather than the bands leaning more towards 80's Hardcore Punk like Fugazi!
If so, I'm guessing amongst the best selling will be:
Homesick by A Day To Remember (2009)
Life is Not a Waiting Room by Senses Fail (2008)
Take to the Skies by Enter Shikari (2007)
Crisis by Alexisonfire (2006)
Say Hello to Sunshine by Finch (2005)
This of course is what I think will be the best selling, not necessarily the best! Personally my favourites are For Those Who Have a heart by A Day To Remember and Bone Palace Ballet by Chiodos
