What kind of dog is a Rotweiler?
The breed is an ancient one, whose history stretches back to the Roman Empire. In those times, the legions traveled with their meat on the hoof and required the assistance of working dogs to herd the cattle. One route the army traveled was through Württenberg and on to the small market town of Rottweil. The principal ancestors of the first Rottweilers during this time was supposed to be the Roman droving dog, local dogs the army met on its travels, and dogs with molesser appearance coming from England and The Netherlands.

At what age can you breed a female rottweiler?
For all dogs the best time to breed them is when they are 1 and 1/2 years old or when they are 2 years old. 2 years old is a better time to breed a female as they will have gone into about 4 times, and they are not as young. When a dog is younger and is bred, they have a greater chance of losing the litter and/or losing their life.
What is the best way to groom a rottweiler?
I have a short haired dog (redbone) and I love using the comb called shed ender it works great on short haired dogs. And he also loves a bath with baby shampoo lol. :)
there is a huge diffarence between the German rottweiler and the English rottweiler and that is because,
THE GERMAN ROTTWEILER is shorter but all muscles and they have a giant massave head,
they are more trainable, loyal, smart, good around children, and protective.
i would recomend getting a German rottweiler if you were thinking about it.
they get 100 to 170 lbs.
they are 26 to 30 inches for males and females are 23 to 28 inches.
there is just so much more about the German rottweiler that is 100 times better then the American rottweiler.
How many litters can a rottweiler have in a year?
Rottweilers have two seasons (or heat cycles) a year, but you should never attempt to breed from the same dog more than once in a year, and never more than two or three times in its lifetime.
What is the average weight of a five month old rottweiler?
On average a Rottweiler male would be between 25-30kgs, and a female between 20-24kgs. I wouldn't worry to much about the weight, all Rottweilers will reach their optimum weight and anything over that, the dog would become obese. Try not to pack the pounds on a young dog, by over feeding, as this will cause problems in the joints later on.
Rottweilers would like to live in a place where it isn't harsh and where there is enough room for them to run and play a lot. They also love to sunbathe, but like to sit in the shade too. During summer, they love to swim, and during the winter they like to cuddle. They are perfect pets!!
How strong is the bite force of a rottweiler?
Pit Bull Bite: 235 pounds of force
German Shepherd: 238 pounds of force
Rottweiler: 328 pounds of force
Lion: 691 pounds of force
Hyena: 1000 pounds of force
Dog bite force tests are typically measured in Newtons. One Newton equals 0.224808943 pounds force. Many people make the mistake of assuming, when they read a dog has a bite strength of 1000, that it means pounds. It does not. A bite of 1000 Newtons would be equal to 224.81 pounds of force.
Can a kangal kill a rottweiler?
This question is very hard both are very strong, but kangals have a bite stronger than a rottweiler so the kangal would win! (well it depends on the rottweiler)
Is a German shepherd more protective than a rottweiler?
German Shepherds are HERDING dogs. German shepherds are third smartest. Plus, Rottweilers are bred for guarding, Shepherds are bred for being loyal smart powerful and sweet companions to herders and to know how to fight off wolves and coyotes from sheep. Shepherds are less bulky with stronger bite power, better agility, and thicker fur. But Rottweilers have larger bulging muscles, while Shepherds have flatter muscles.
They have just as much strength, but their muscles and flatter and less visible. German shepherds come in white, black, and the way they are most commonly known, tan with a black saddle. But Rottweilers have smooth black fur with outlined tan eyebrows and underbelly and chin. Plus Rottweilers have only short hair, while shepherds come with long smooth coat that can be from 1 to 5 inches long.
That only depends on if he/she has had a life with an abusive owner or a loving one. I used to own a rottweiler, and he was really sweet. Just because they were bred to be guard dogs doesn't mean they're mean.
Why do people cut a rottweilers tail?
Because they are ignorant and cruel.

How do you got your rottweiler to stop jumping on people?
You need to train your dog not to do this. When you see that the dog is going to jump up you should stick your knee up, they will jump right into your knee. They will hit their chest and it will not hurt them. But, it does show them that you do not want them to jump up on you. Whenever you have company over, instruct them to do the same thing. This give your dog consistency, making the message that it is not OK ever clearer.

When to cut a rottweilers tail off?
I always did this the first day, but it is usually done from about the 3rd day to the 7th day. I have heard of it done up to 10 days, but I would never do it that late.
A Rotties tail is docked at 1 1/2 vertebra just in case you didn't know.
20 years of Showing, training and breeding some of the top Rotties ANYWHERE!
Apart from the vanity of the owner there is no reasonable non-medical excuse to dock any dog
Vanity has absolutely nothing to do with it. Many of us actually show our dogs. I'm not about to put anyone down for asking a question when it comes to a breed standard situation. Maybe they are only researching to get answers for breeding at a later time. It does take a lot of research and information before ever attemping to breed an animal. I'm not going to assume that there s a litter on the ground and someone is just now asking this question, which would mean they hadn't researched before hand.
Unless it is prohibited by law, most breeders of dogs go by the standards of their breed, to provide new owners with a dog that if it is show worthy or breeding worthy, has had at least tails docked and dewclaws removed. You can't tell until those pups are up and moving, if you have any show worthy. To dock a tail later is a surgical proceedure and harder on the dog. Also if it is the breed standard you will have a harder time placing a puppy that doesn't resemble the breed and those hard to place puppies often end up in a shelter or hopefully a rescue.
I know this sound like a rude answer, but I've tried to rewrite it different ways and it still sounds that way. LOL Sorry.
I would rather the breeder docks a tail than to have someone buy one of those pups and have some cruel person pay a friend $5 bucks to do it instead of waiting and going to a vet in a few months when it would cost them more since it is surgery. OK I think I'm done now.
Why do some Rottweilers have white on their chest?
You can't. It's part of the dog. Accept your dog for who he or she is, don't discriminate him or her because of fur colouring. As they age, darker-fured dogs will experience lightening of the fur in some areas, just like humans getting grey hair. You can't control genetics or nature.
Color
Always black with rust to mahogany markings. The difference between black and rust is to be clearly defined. The markings should be located as follows:
So obviously there can not be a full beige Rottweiler or even a Rott with beige markings as its not in the breed standard. A mix could well have beige markings though.
A jack rabbit can run at full steam for approximately 4.679 hours straight.
How do you know when your rottweiler is ready to mate?
Your female will usually start bleeding, and it should be noticeable to the owner if she is an indoor dog. Your dog's 'parts' will usually swell up to twice the size, but it should go down after two-three weeks after the bleeding stops.
How can you tell if a pit bull is mixed or purebred?
Without registration papers from an honest, reputable breeder, you will never be able to tell for certain. I would also like to add that there is no such thing as a purebred "pitbull." The closest breed would be the American Pit Bull Terrier, which would have registration papers from the UKC or the ADBA.
Which is stronger between a pitbull a dogo argentino or a rottweiler?
Depending on the size of the dog, both dogs are very powerful, the Rottweiler has a stronger bite, but I think that the Rottweiler would not withstand against the Dogo Argentino in a longer fight
