After looking on lots and LOTS of websites, I have finally found a formula for accents that will work on my Mac.

How these work - Press the 'Option' key and the letter specific to each type of accent at the same time, and then let go and press the letter (L) that you would like the accent to be over.

These are how to do the different types of accents, and they will work on the letters

'n,N,o,O,a,A'.

Type of accent, Sample, Formula

Acute, Ó ó, Option+E, L(letter that the accent will be over)

Circumflex, Ô ô, Option+I, L(letter)

Grave, Ò ò, Option+`(symbol to the left of number 1), L (letter)

Tilde, Õ õ, Option+N, L (letter)

Umlaut, Ö ö, Option+U, L (letter)

Example: To input the letter Ó, hold down the Option key, then the E key. Release both keys and then type a capital O.

I don't know if these will work on windows or other computers, but for all those people out their that own macs, it is the formula for you!

The translation for "grandfather" from Russian to English is "дедушка" or "дед" (dedushka or ded).

To say 'dry' in Russian, you would say "сухой" (pronounced: soo-khoi).

In Russian, you can say "здравствуйте" (Zdravstvuyte) or "привет" (Privet) to greet someone.

I would just say "tseluyu tibya" (stress on the first "u"; stress on the final "a"). It just means "kiss you". It's used by boyfriends/girlfriends, husbands/wives when they're saying goodbye on the telephone, or signing off on an email to each other.

"Дача" [`da-cha] (this means an owned or rent piece of countryside land with house on it. Without a house, it is "дачный участок" [`dach-nyi-u-`chas-tok] or simply "участок" [u-`chas-tok]).

The main difference between a White Russian and a Black Russian is that a White Russian adds cream. You can substitute milk, but cream is best.

They are very likely to if they graduated from college after 1991, just because most Russian people today have to learn Russian at some point in their education--and mostly before they get to college.

Although, since Jack is short for John (Иван - Ivan) you might use one of the diminutives. But there are many, many, many, diminutives for Ivan. Vanya, Vanyusha, Vanechka, Ivanka, Ivanya, and on and on. I can recall at least 50. Russians really like nicknames.

Well the evidence I've seen so far seem to indicate that they do not. Several people have posted clips on youtube where they have cut open said filters and found only activated charcoal and several flammable cotton and paper based filter elements. Most asbestos use in gas mask filters seems to have stopped in the late 50's. The GP5 gas masks that were imported into the United States come from the Ukraine and are of late 80's manufacture or newer. Really there is no need to take the risk, since the filters are too old to likely be of use anyway. It would be wiser to purchase a new manufacture filter with standard NATO 40mm threads which are compatible with the Gp5 mask.
