Was the bullpen forgotten at at and t park?

User Avatar
It was built that way as a homage to classic ball parks where the bullpen was on the field and not in some closet of the stadium. Everything about AT&T Park is about classic baseball, which is what it is doing. The style of the ballpark is class. It's in downtown. the red brick, much like older ballparks. the location.

Are seats in the 'Arcade Section' good for viewing a San Francisco Giants baseball game?

User Avatar
Yes, they are very good seats right above the right fielder. It's a great experience for a Giants fan, a baseball fan, or anyone just trying to get out of the house who is interested in baseball. The seats are obviously not the best, but are still very good seats, especially if you wish to catch a home run.

Why are the Giants called the Giants?

User Avatar
From the Giants own history section of their web site, "On June 3, after a rousing extra-innings victory over Philadelphia, manager Jim Mutrie was so overcome with emotion that he supposedly blurted out a description of his team that immediately became the franchise's new nickname. He called them his Giants." There have also been rumors that they were called the Giants because many of the players were tall and because there were many skyscrapers in New York, but the above is the truest story.

How long does a typical San Francisco Giants game last?

User Avatar
Baseball is the most unpredictable sporting event in the world, and thus the times will never be the same. If the game is a pitcher's duel, the game will usually last around 1 1/2- 2 hours, but if the game is an offensive explosion, it may last from 3-5 hours. Generally, however, the average baseball game (including that of the Giants) lasts 3 hours.
