Answer: A satellite dish is a parabolic antenna designed to receive microwave signals from communications satellites, which transmit data transmissions or broadcasts, such as satellite television. In home based systems, the parabolic shape of a dish reflects these signals to the dish's focal point. Mounted on brackets at the dish's focal point is a device called a feedhorn. Depends on where/how it is installed. If it is a wood, or metal pole, you should either dig up the pole (hard), or dig down around a couple inches and cut it off below grade. If it is a metal pole, use a sledgehammer to smash down the pipe so if the dirt wahes away no one will step on it. For a roof mount, 1st remove the dish, support arm from the foot plate. You will need 2 7/16" wrenches, or a wrench and soket/ratchet. Where the mount "arm" meets the foot plate there are 2 slider carriage bolts with 7/16" nuts used for leveling. Reome nuts and bolts. In the center of the arm is a bolt that runs through the sides of the footplate and the arm. Remove this as well. LEAVE THE FOOTPLATE INTACT. You don't want to break the seal with the roof. Remove the footplate when you have replacement shingles.

Contact your television service provider (Cable or Satellite Television). They will likely ask you a few questions (sometimes the method of your last payment, your last 4 digits of your ssn, etc) to verify it is not someone unauthorized to bypass the parental control. Easiest/fastest way. Run the sattelite coaxial cable to the "sattelite in" jack on the back of the sattelite receiver, run a coaxial cable from the "out to TV" jack of the sattelite receiver to the "antenna in" jack on the VCR and a coaxial cable from the "out to TV" jack of the VCR to the "antenna in" coaxial of the TV. Then, run audio/video cables (red, white and yellow) from the "video out" (yellow) of the DVD player to the "video in" of the TV and the red and white cables out of the DVD to the red and white jacks of the TV. Audio out (left and right) of the DVD to audio in of the TV. If the TV has 4 in/out jacks to accept component (red, white yellow) cables, run the component cables from the out side of the sattelite box, VCR, DVD and video game seperately to the TV inputs, 1,2,3 and 4. You would then simply use the TV remote to change inputs to switch from component to component. The only coaxial would be the sattelite signal from the dish to the sattelite receiver.
