I have a 2006 Scion TC that Ive already put 120k miles on from commuting back and forth on the LA freeways for work. Ive never had any major problems and it still runs like a charm. Toyota doesn't skimp or disappoint on quality.

I expect to put 200k miles on this.

depending on the mileage, a full synthetic or a synthetic blend is my recomendation. A conventional oil (standard) is good for 3000 miles. synthetic blend oil is good for about 4000 miles and a full synthetic is good for 5000 miles. If your tc is over 75000 miles then either a full sythetic or a high mileage oil is recomended. I bought my tc at 72000 miles and right away i ran an engine flush, tanny flush, coolant flush, fuel system cleaner and had a full synthetic oil change and the car runs brand new.

In a 06 scion xb after mounting new rear brake shoes the wheel cylinder will not compress to alow the drum to go back on. Am I missing some procedure.

If you are a scion of a wealthy family, you don't have to worry much about your income.

Easy. With key in ignition and car off, press the odometer reset button into full down position. Turn key to position just before full start and continue holding the button until the light goes off and internal maintenance mileage counter light resets.

Note the light begins to blink on start up as the maintenance counter nears the schedule before it stays "on" continuously awaiting a reset. This procedure is detailed in the tc manual.

The 2005 Scion xB takes 20" wiper blades on both sides front. See sources and related links below for more information. Since there are over 22 different wiper arm attachments, do not buy wipers just by length only - be sure to lookup exact wiper blade part numbers by vehicle make, model and year for the brand wiper you decide to purchase. My 2006 xA engine light will periodically come on even thought the gas cap is on. When that happens, I remove the cap and replace it double-clicking it to make sure it is sealed tight. I'm going to try and clean the gasket on the cap and where the gasket seals on the tube to remody the problem.

It means your tire pressure is low on one of your tires. Fill to the specified psi (located on the tire wall), then push reset button to turn off exclamation point light (located in glovebox). Owner's manual tells you all about it.

The pressure listed on the tire sidewall is the max safe pressure for that tire. The pressure specification for the vehicle will be listed on a label on the drivers door jamb, in the owners manual, or in the glove box.

Well, that's quite the vague question. If you have a "Universal" kit, than the shop you take it to will have to align and drill holes, possibly roll your fenders as well as the possibility of having to weld the hinge onto your vehicle. At the labour costs of $65/hour+, you're looking at upwards of $600 (at the least) for a good job! Whereas a "bolt on" kit (from a reputable company), will take much less time because there is no welding or aligning to make sure they drill the holes perfectly for your vehicle! They should only have to roll the fenders and make sure the hinge is perfectly flat against your vehicle (same with the Universal kit). This should only take Max 4 hours to do... so anywhere around the $250 mark... or so. All just estimates and personal experience.... DON'T go with universal.. IMO Good luck!!

To reset the maintenance light ,make sure you have the odometer displayed.
1-Turn the vehicle off
2- Push the button that toggles between odometer and trip, and keep holding it down
3-Now turn on the ignition, while your still holding the button down
4-The display should blink, the maintenance light will go out

On the automatic follow the transmission dipstick down. On the bottom of the transmission there is a hex key bolt. Remove this and out comes the fluid! Hope this helps
