Steve Largent is a former NFL player (which he is most famous for), and a former U.S. Congressman.

He went to college at University of Tulsa and had a very successful four years of playing football, but wasn't drafted until 1976, by the Houston Oilers, only to be quickly traded to the expansion Seattle Seahawks for an 8th round draft pick.

He spent a successful 13 year, seven time Pro Bowler career in Seattle as a wide receiver. He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1995, and his jersey number (80) was retired by the Seahawks.

The Seahawks are 13-8 for approx. .619 for the 4th highest winning percentage of all time on MNF. (Not counting Baltimore at 3-1, I don't consider that enough games to qualify quite yet.) They are behind only Indy (.629) S.F. (.629) and Oak/L.A. (.621) who played a few of those MNF games with Seattle.

Because they are in the same division as the 49ers, Cardinals, and the Rams. The NFC is that bad and someone has to win the division. The Seahawks just happen to be the best team in one of the worst divisions in football They will not be a playoff team this year because their owner is a purveyor of hate radio. Because they have Shaun Alexander and Matt Hasselbeck AND have the easiest division. Personaly I think they will have success outside their division. Because the Seahawks are the best team in the NFC and one of the best in the NFL. Not only will they be a play-off team, They will be Super Bowl Champions!!!!! He transferred because NC State head coach tom O'Brien didn't want him to play minor league baseball. Tom O'Brien expressed reservations with Wilson's decision, saying "Russell and I have had very open conversations about his responsibilities respective to baseball and football. While I am certainly respectful of Russell's dedication to baseball these last several years, within those discussions I also communicated to him the importance of his time commitment to NC State football."

He played his last year at Wisconsin because he had already received his undergrad degree and was allowed to transfer without sitting out a year.

During the season they are allowed to have 53 players on their roster. Players that are on the Practice squad or designated as Injured Reserve do not count against this limit.

There were a LOT of players who were on all four of the Steelers' Super Bowl teams of the '70's (over twenty). I don't know which exactly actually *played* in all four games (for instance, I believe that Jack Ham was injured and didn't play in Super Bowl XIV), but just off the top of my head I can think of a bunch of players who definitely played in all four, such as Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, Jack Lambert, Lynn Swann, Rocky Bleier, and Mean Joe Greene. I don't believe any Steeler has ever played in more than four.

Number 12 represents the Seahawks fans. At every home game the 12th man flag is raised by a former player or some sort of celebrity. Seahawks stadium is very loud and the crowd noise has been known to affect visiting teams because they aren't used to that much noise. So the fans are considered to be part of the team....to an extent.
