There are two major reasons:

1) Al-Qaeda, as an organization, has as its mission the forcible conversion to Islam of the entire world. It does not recognize the right of Freedom of Religion and the idea that a powerful country, such as the United States could reject their demands to convert to Islam angered them enough to wish to inflict terrible pain on the United States.

2) American Foreign Policy in the Muslim World, especially as concerns Israel, angers a lot of Arabs. The support for a regime they see as violent towards their own people (the Palestinians) causes much ire. Additionally, the United States supported a coup d'état in Iran, supported Iraq before invading and supplanting it, empowered the Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak, and many other issues. This anger with American Foreign Policy could only be rectified, in their opinion, if Americans could truly suffer for their foreign policy decisions like Muslims do.

Two things are worth noting here. Firstly, Islam as a religion does not promote the idea of forcible conversion even though organizations like Al-Qaeda use this mechanism. It is one of the many ways that Al-Qaeda misrepresents the tenets of Islam. Secondly, George W. Bush's mantra that "they hate us for our freedom" is only a half-truth. The second part of that statement, that, of course, he never uttered, is "and our intent to squash theirs." Most Muslims want to be free and Arab Spring is a perfect example of how Arabs are ready to fight for freedom instead of against it.

The World Trade Center was a complex of seven buildings in Lower Manhattan in New York City that were destroyed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Owners was the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The towers opened on April 4, 1973 and destroyed on September 11, 2001.

Flight 11 and Flight 175 (which both hit the World Trade Center) took off from Logan International Airport in Boston. Flight 77 (hit the Pentagon) came from Dulles Airport, and and Flight 93 (which crashed in Pennsylvania) was from Newark International Airport in New Jersey.

Terrorist attacks on Twin Towers, aka 9/11.

a lot of people think that 9/11 was a conspiracy because of all the videos of evidence that 9/11 was a controlled demolition experiment by the government. the planes were never found and bodies came to hospitals of people with no names also with amnesia. there has been proven evidence that assassinations took place during the dark hour of 9/11. the victims of the murders were government officials even building workers. i have seen two videos that stunned me enough to answer this question. one video was that what looked like nothing but an explosion and no plane but when put on t.v. an orb came up that looked like a plane or missile. the second video showed construction workers on phone when a random explosion came from in the world trade center. i have done the math and science and a plane CAN NOT just explode when in impact.

9/11 happened in 1999 and it was very shocking because the Twin Towers fell and lots of people died.

The only granite used was for decoration purposes. The buildings were made primarily out of Concrete, Steel, with thick glass windows.

The north tower of the word trade center new york had 110 floors and it was 1727ft high.

the passangers took attacked the hijackers and ended up crashing in a vacant field in pensylvania instead of the white house or capitol.

Eight children died on 9/11, but none were on Flight 93. Five of them were on Flight 77 (which crashed into the Pentagon) and the other three were on Flight 175 (which hit the south tower of the WTC).

The terrorists crashed planes into the Twin Towers, a plane hit the pentagon, and a plane that was scheduled to hit the White House, crashed in a small field in Pennsylvania.

the official answer is they didn't find any, but the real answer is that they have found every black box at the 9/11 scene and are held at the JFK airport.
