What is the value of a TBaker sxs 28ga with hammers?

Baker was one of the 6 major shotgun makers in the early 1900s- values will depend on the exact model and condition- and there were multiple models. 28 g guns frequently command a higher price due to rarity. While I would love to give you a value, any estimate would be a range of $100-$1000 or more. This will need a hands on appraisal- sorry. PS- Be certain that your shotgun is a Baker and not a Barker. Barker was a low cost Belgian made import sold by Sears in the late 1800s/ early 1900s. capitalizing on the names Baker and Parker- both well respected gun companies.

How much feet per second does a 410 have?

.410 bore cartridges are made in the U.S. of A in three lengths : 2.5", 2.75 and 3". 3" loadings, typically, generate higher velocities. Velocities (for either size cartridge) of the projectiles will vary with powder loadings. For "shot" shells, which contain small pellets (#8 and #4 are the most commonly found), velocities will range from approximately 1100 feet per second (fps) to close to 1400 fps. For "buck shot" loads (3 or 4 x 000 buck or 8 or 9 x #4 buck, are most common) velocities will range from approx. 1050 fps to 1400 fps. For "slug" loads, which contain a single pellet (usually 87 or 88 grains = approx. 1/5 oz) typical velocities range from 1400 fps to 1800 fps. All these velocities are developed from a standard, smooth bore barrel of around 26".

What is the worth of a Janssen and sons 12 gauge with a lion carved in the stock?

The value of your Janssen & Sons shotgun depends entirely on it's condition. If it still looks and works as new and has not been refinished it would be worth top dollar. On the other hand rust, dents, dings, refinishing of wood or metal, missing parts, etc. bring the value down quickly. Most of these were made around the turn of the century prior to WW1 around Leige, Belgium. There are many variations but none have garnered a 'high' price as far as we can tell. All but two of the Janssens that I've seen were pretty well 'used up'. They gave every indication of having been used, and used hard for a long time. In that condition they bring $20 - $50 strictly as wall hangers. The top selling price I've seen was at $700. Every Janssen I've seen has either Damascus or Laminated Steel barrels and should NOT be fired with smokeless cartridges under any condition. They were designed strictly for black powder and it's lower operating pressures. Why not post some pictures of it so we can see what we're talking about? Like everything else, it's actually only worth what someone else will pay you for it. But no one will buy it without seeing it.
