What your gun would be best at depends on what chokes the gun has. You can make about any gun ok for trap or skeet by picking the right shells. The Mossberg 1000 super is manufactured by HOWA of Japan. It was also sold by Smith & Wesson as a Model 1000. Do a search under Smith & Wesson Model 1000 barrels. There is a guy in Texas who specializes in parts.

Frederick and Peter Schelling made Kentucky rifles in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, circa 1855. V.C. Schilling & V. Chr. Schilling guns of various types were made in Suhl, Prussia from approx. 1850-1920. Guns included; muzzle loading rifles and pistols, Reichrevolvers, Commission 88 rifles(military & sporting), Mauser 98 rifles(military & sporting), along with shotguns, capeguns, combination guns and drillings. I believe the company was finally taken over by Merkel. Currently Jorg Schilling is manufacturing Schilling rifles in Mehlis, Germany in a plant that was owned by his Grandfather Alfred Schilling and currently bears his name. The simple answer is that it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. The more complicated answer is that price varies by location. I live in central Maryland and recently paid $550.00 for a 4 inch barrel Taurus model 44.

The 12 Gauge Single Shot Shotgun Model 336882 from the Volunteer Arms Company was probably manufactured by the Belknap Hardware and Manufacturing Company that operated in Louisville, Kentucky. Iver Johnson Company and H & R, are two other gun manufacturers that made this type of shotgun.

Relative to what? To an interested collector, a 24 gauge would be worth more than an identical gun in a larger (and more common) gauge. To someone who wanted it for hunting or target shooting, it would be worth less than one for which ammunition is readily available.

Probably not because the Federal Government did not require the firearm manufacturers to put a serial number on a firearm until 1968, which was when the Federal Firearms law went into effect requiring registration of all firearms purchased. So many firearms manufactured by some of the more popular companies did not even have serial numbers on them. Also there was not a requirement for a manufacturer to put a manufacturer name or brand/model name on a firearm until 1898 when the first federal firearms act was enacted and actually went into effect in 1899. This law also made all "guns" manufactured prior to 1899 not classified as a firearm and subject to federal laws and regulations. There were a lot of companies making firearms years ago because they were pretty much in demand and basically unregulated. There should be a screw or release lever under the forearm of the gun. Once you release that you should be able to remove the barrel.

30th edition Gun Trader's Guide states from 1937-1958. If it does not have a full length ribbetween the barrels, it's a '49 or later.

According to Brophy in his book Marlin Firearms (1989 by Stackpole Books) marlin stopped production of model 90's in 1960 but they continued to be sold until 1963.

On page 417 of his book, Brophy wrote that the double trigger Model 90 was discontinued in 1957 and the single trigger model was discontinued in 1959, although sales of inventory continued until 1963. Model 90's made after WWII have a letter prefix in the serial number indicating the year made.

William Moore and Co. was a trade name used on shotguns manufactured by Henri Pieper of Liege, Belgium (1866-1898), Societe Anonme Establissments Pieper (1898-1907) or Anciens Establissments Pieper (1907-1930's), imported by H. and D. Folsom Arms Company of New York. These shotguns not are safe to use with modern ammunition.
