i have three Siberian huskies at home and they all love to fetch all though it takes some time for them to learn to bring the ball back they will fetch it forever

An Alaskan Malamute is a bigger dog than a husky.

because they inherit it from there parents like you inherit things like your eye color from your parents.

If one parent is red and the other is not and does not carry the gene, none of the puppies will be red, but all will be able to produce the color.

If neither parent is red and neither carries red, no puppies will be red or able to produce it.

This is simplified and does not account for the many other colors in the Siberian Husky genotype, which would modify the basic red/black dichotomy of canine color.

The Siberian Husky is a domestic dog = kept my humans, so you're unlikely to fin any important number of them living wild.

But there's always a possibility that an occasional animal has strayed and gone feral.

If necessary, you could always pay for your veterinarian to remove it. This will have to be done under general anaesthetic and the vet will have to put a small stitch in. As long as the dew claw does not become ingrowing or painful then you may not need to worry.

Well all dogs are carnivores so huskies are the same for they are too dogs. They eat meat. Dog food usually doesn't have REAL meat in it. They usually have corn gluten meal or ground corn meal with meat FLAVOR! Blue Buffalo dog food brand has real meat in it. But it is expensive. Huskies can eat practically any meat that's not poisonous. Uncooked is ok for dogs but they can get tape worms from it, and other diseases. Cooked meat is totally fine for dogs. They can eat it on gravy, with rice, in their dog food, and just plain. Dogs really don't care what kind of meat it is as long as they are not eating dog meat. (Yes, people do eat dog meat and MIGHT feed it to their dogs.) I hope I helped out with your questions. :)

There are more than two things to look for when buying a puppy from a breeder. Do your homework and read up on the diseases or disorders common in Siberian Husky breed.

The breeder should be willing to let you tour his/her kennel and see the breeding stock that's on premises. The kennel should not smell bad, the dogs should be kept in proper housing with adequate room for exercise.

See the paperwork that the breeding stock has been genetically tested for diseases common to the Husky breed. The breeder should guarantee in writing the health of all puppies sold.

The breeder should have taken all necessary steps to insure that each and every puppy bred is given all the socialization that's appropriate for the dog's age. That means the puppy is being raised by it's mother and with it's littermates, with people, not separate from people. The puppies should not be fearful.

Be sure the breeder uses a sales contract that clearly defines the rights and expectations of both you and seller.

Once you pick out the puppy, the breeder should have completed all inoculations appropriate for the age of the puppy that's being sold. You should be given all veterinary documents. Even with all of this, you would be wise to have the puppy examined by a vet of your choice within a week of taking it home.

A good breeder only wants what's best for his/her dogs. A good breeder will take back any dog sold if the buyer is unable to keep the dog.

A bitch will go into heat twice a year however its really only safe to breed her once a year. A male you can breed as often as you want.

Huskies do not need to bathe at all unless there is a medical reason (such as skin irritation) or if they've rolled in something particularly nasty (such as fox poo).

Regular brushing and/or combing coupled with a healthy diet should be more than enough to keep the husky's coat glossy and clean.

A dog's enemy is probably any other animal that can attack it or kill it. such as wolfs, monkeys, and any animal that is in the wild or dangerous.

A silver tipped Siberian husky is when you have a pure white Siberian husky (which are rare for the breed) that is tipped with a gray-sliver color. They could be "tipped" on the paws or tip of the tail etc.

No, it is it's own special breed. It's smaller than the husky, and certainly...doesn't look like one.

It is however a spitz type of dog and therefore does share charcteristics and looks (curly tail etc). These are the closest to a wolf and include Samoyeds Huskies Chows Malamutes Akitas Elkhounds Keeshond Shiba Inu etc.

Well, it depends on a lot. I don't think they are considered hypoallergenic. And if you're asking because you have allergies then I SOOO know how you feel. My bro has allergies and I used to and we want a an Alaskan Klee Kai too but that's not gonna happen. :( I used to have allergies a couple of years ago (BTW I'm 11) so not that many years ago. Hope you find one that's hypoallergenic!

they can, because they love to be around owners. but you have to let the husky excersise a lot outdoors, but never let it run loose, maybe in a fenced backyard or something. but it can be a great housedog.

Siberian huskies are very loyal. I believe that they are so loyal because when they first were bred they were used as sled dogs. They were bred to listen. They were supposed to turn and go faster on command. Also when they completed a race they were rewarded so they thought that helping and listening to their owner meant they would be rewarded. So that is just one of the many great genes of the Siberian husky.

Depends, generally they do like any other dog but for them they become bloodlust and will kill all the chickens. I have a Siberian male husky and he just went bloodlust and killed all my rabbits, which was very horrible and scary since he became aggressive if i came near him and the rabbit. You should beware if you have a cat since the husky if not ever raised with one will kill it.

It depends, huskies need a lot of exercise. If you are willing to walk it often it shouldn't be too bad. Huskies are also social dogs they HATE being alone. If you leave them alone in a small place for a long period of time then they will start to howl and get destructive, as in eating walls, carpet and furniture etc.
