No, they have a pink tongue if they are purebred, the Samoyed has a purple tongue. If the dog is mixed with the Samoyed the tongue may have spots.

Although the above may be true... it might not be the case. The dogs tongue might simply have some heavy pigmented tongue cells! It's kind of like a birth mark in humans.

How do i prepare for my husky pups being born and what and when do i feed them i have no idea what to do please help?

Hi, I am a lab breeder, and have been breeding for 13 years. Your husky mother needs a whelping box, with a ledge around the outside so she cannot squish her puppies against the outside. After the pups are born, Mom should get LOTS of food and water. At around 3 weeks of age, the pups need to start eating. Soak their puppy food in water until mushy, add a dob of corn syrup so they don't get constipated, and add carnation milk. Blend it with a hand blender and add some warm water, until the mixture is runny and warm. Not too runny. They should be fed 3 times a day, morning, noon and night. As they get older lessen the amount of milk and make the mixture thicker. At 5 weeks they should be almost totaly on hard food.

Do huskies like children?

Most of the time, yes. But if you chose a dog that has a history of Dog Fights, they might be a little cranky around food or something like that. But,that doesnt mean you shouldn't adopt a dog with that kind of history. If it isn't very bad,you might be able to train it to be nice.If you decide on a dog with a "fighting" history and you have small/young children,I would make sure that it is clear with them that you should not touch the dog or the food bowl if they have anger issues until they are completely finished with it,because that could lead to biting. Also, as a grown dog,the huskie can get very big.Make sure you have the time to walk it at least once or twice a day.Aspecialy with dogs that have way too much energey. It could calm them down.Hope this helps!

What do you need to clean a husky?

Husky coats are generally self-cleaning so there is very little need to bathe them unless medically required or if they've rolled in something extra nasty. A good brush through the fur every few days (or more regularly when they are blowing their coat) combined with a healthy diet should be enough to keep the coat clean and glossy. Some owners have difficulty brushing their huskies due to the long double coat, in which case a comb will do the job just as well.

Mud tends to wipe off with a damp cloth or you can wait until it dries and then comb it out and you can buy specialist dog shampoos designed to tackle smelly mess such as fox poo. Availability will depend on the country you're in, but your vet should be able to recommend products for this use.

If you do need to bathe your husky, make sure that their undercoat dries thoroughly afterwards.

How much should you walk your husky?

You can walk your Husky every day if you want to. Huskies typically have a very high energy level and need a lot of exercise.
