Nowadays, you can customize almost any item that you own, and let your own personality shine through with the designs. There is no limit to what you want the designs to say, how they look like, and where they can actually be placed. Even snowboards can now reflect the personality of their owners or at the very least their thoughts on specific concerns. There are professionals who can help you put your thoughts directly on your snowboard, but you can also do this by yourself.

Step 1: You can go as wildly creative with the design as you want – keep in mind that this is your snowboard, so you are the one in charge. Draw, layout or stencil the design that you want to be placed on the snowboard, so that you have a pattern to follow. The design doesn’t have to be something that conforms to the norm – it can be as elaborate or as simple as you want it to be. If you are not into drawing, you might want to ask your friends to do the sketching or drawing for you.

Step 2: Make sure that your board is as free from dirt as possible, so you have a clean surface to work on with the design. After thoroughly removing the dirt and grime, use sandpaper to scuff the board a bit, so the paint would stick even better to the surface.

Step 3: Place a tape or any plastic material over any area of your snowboard that will not be included in the design. Before proceeding with the actual design, use a primer to ensure that the design will look even (and also to protect your snowboard). Let the primer dry for as long as possible.

Step 4: When the primer is completely dry, you can now proceed with painting the board. You don’t have to worry too much about making mistakes, because you can always paint on top of those mistakes.

Step 5: Allow the snowboard to dry, and then spray on a clear coat to seal the painted-on design. Make sure that you allow enough time for the coats to dry before using the board.

Now that you have customized your snowboard, it’s time to show off your masterpiece to your friends. Who knows, this might be the beginning of a lucrative business for you!

Actually a kickflip does not have a certain way of flipping. It all depends on if your goofy or your normal. If you ride normal which means your foot points to the right of your board, you will be flipping to the left and if your goofy which means your foot is pointing to the left of the board, your will be flipping to the right.

As many reviews will tell you, high tops are not a good idea for running. As technology of computers and phones has evolved, so has the technology of the shoe. High tops don't give the necessary comfort needed for runners. Stick to the classic running shoe.

Clear grip tape is REALLY good if the top of your deck has graphics on it.. or .. What I've done on a couple of decks I've put together- put stickers on the top of the deck and lay over it with clear grip tape.. the effect is cool with the stickers showing through the tape and the decals stay somewhat protected too.. The down side of clear grip is that if it gets street crud all on it - it is a pain to clean..

It's impossible to know how many skateboard stores there are in the world. Many stores are opening and closing all the time so it would be difficult to find an exact number.

Skateboards have been around since the 1960s. They were originally used as a way to practice surfing outside of water. Although, originally it was known as sidewalk surfing and the first boards were roller skates on a box!

Just get a factory made blank deck at your local skate shop like zumiez, industrial, or wherever most other skaters in your area go to buy boards. Don't worry about getting a pro deck like a zero or a girl just yet. Blanks usually run about $15-$20 so if you find out that skatings not your thing, at least you haven't blown too much money. After that get some thunder trucks and ABEC 3-5 bearings, depending on how fast you think you can handle. If you plan on skating mainly in skateparks, then ask for soft wheels. If you want to hit the streets, get hard wheels. Soft wheels grip better to hold on to the smooth floors of skateparks and wear down really fast on concrete, but hard wheels slide on smooth floors and handle concrete perfectly. lossen the wheels and tighten the trucks. dont lossen the wheels to much just to were u cna move them a lil to the left and right. and tighten the trucks up to were u wont go into a death wobble but to were u cna still turn

For a living, skateboarders skateboard. They usually eat erfedgebeefnuggets from Arby's, but occasinaly from Mcdonalds. If you ask me, erfedgebeefnuggets are best from Arby's, but that's just me. They also do tricks for peoples to get money and annoy people.

They are called riser pads. They help increase you height and pop. I love 'em.

Its a competition just as anyother sport except for skate contest dont use brackets like in tennis. There are lots of formats depending on the competition ussually though, you get rewarded the most for the biggest and hardest tricks. The best skater that racks up the most points or highest average run wins.

Yes the tail (the back end) is where your skateboard graphics looks upside down when you look at the bottom. The Nose( the front is when you look at your board griptape side down and your nose is where your graphics are pointing up and look nice and sweet.

By far they are better it cost up to $30 but if you are looking for the top one would be the Bones Swiss which are up to $50-80 depends where you look.
