Professional skateboarders know that for optimum performance, aside from their skill level, the type of skateboard they use makes all the difference. For amateurs, all skateboards may appear to be created equal, but there are a few different skateboards to choose from. These skateboards basically differ in their various lengths and concave depths.
There are two main types of skateboard: long and short. The different shapes of both long and short skateboards is very important as well. For expert tricks, the skateboard must be concave, which refers to the curve of the board in relation to the raised nose and tail of the skateboard. A concave board is especially important for performing difficult tricks, such as an Ollie. An Ollie is a jump that begins by tapping the tail of the skateboard and sliding the foot to the front of the board in the air.

Why not to buy Walmart skateboards?
Voodoo 13: Many people that skate like to flaunt their new 'name brand' boards.. I have dozens of expensive boards, but if you have never skated before Wal mart or target or Toys-r-us is the perfect place to buy a cheap bord to practice on. What if you find that you don't like skatebording as much as you thought?? Well if you spend $160+ for a 'pro' board instead of $40 at the store you wont feel as bad.. Or if you fall while practicing riding and you watch the $160 board roll under a car getting crushed..you really won't feel as bad if you bought a cheap one... I've always said buy cheap until you're ready for a 'name brand' board. Don't let anyone give you crap because it's not from the skateshop.. you're a beginner and your 4 wheels spin on the street the same as the guy who paid big bucks..
When skateboarding your right foot in front is your goofy foot?
Goofy is when you skate with your right foot in front of your left, you push off with your left foot. You can get Goofy mongo though which is when you skate with your right foot in front of your left, but instead of pushing with your left you push with your right.

To do a 360 shove-it, place your BACK foot exactley where you would for an ollie except hang your toes off of the edge a little bit. Place your FRONT foot also like an ollie but a little bit lower and a little bit more towards the front screws. Now this is the most important part of the trick.Scoop it like a pop shove-it, but instead of scooping it back, scoop it back then towards your FRONT foot, this way it will actually get the board to spin. Jump high so the board has a lot more time to spin. Don't be scared to land it because you will never land it
It is a good beginner board but once you start to do more technical tricks you should get a new board. I say go get one. I have had mine for 5 months and it still hasn't broke, but its starting to get a razor tail.
When you try a kickflip the board goes straight out or does a 180 Why?
I found that when this happened to me all you need to do is not to kick the board when draging up the board, that stops the bit where it flies out, and then to stop the 180 try and keep your shoulders above the bolts

Wheels dont make skateboards faster its the bearings that make the wheels move.but if your looking for wheels that wont waste fast than i would gets some bones wheels that what i ride and there the best wheels if used so.

How much fat can be lost skateboarding every day for an hour?
A lot. I lost twenty pounds in a week. What the last person said is a load of sh**! In skateboarding, you do start riding, but first of all its only for a few seconds. Second of all, unlike running, where you only do something you've known how to do since you were a toddler, you have to bend down, push your leg into the air, bend your knee, swing it down, and push very hard, all while keeping your balance (the skateboard leans left and right and turns to the guy who said running is harder). Plus you have to lean forward while doing it and pushing the board ahead of you. Also your not just pushing your own weight, but the board too. After all that its still not going fast because skateboard wheels are very small. The only reasons people run instead of skateboarding is because for one, you want to learn while your a kid because just learning to ride one means falling a lot, hard. youll probably at sometime skateboarding, break your head, shoulder, ankles, back, neck, and most commonly your wrist, so bad the bone pops out of the skin. the other reason is becaudse skateboards cost hundreds of dollars. not to mention, if it gets wet its pretty much ruined.I could go on for hours but your probably not even reading this anymore.
