In my experience, figure skaters tend to be able to beat hockey players in races, but hockey is a game in and of itself, which skating is only a part of, however, figure skaters are usually better skaters, but you could be the best skater in the world and still not good at playing on a team, handling a puck, etc.

Hi, Good question, I have been roller skating for 40 years, so I think I can answer this question quite honestly. Used could be better for they will be broken in for you, so will prevent sore feet. BUT are they broken in to fit your foot, that is something to consider. Anna

in ice skating, you can burn more calories in the cold but in roller skating there's so many things you can do

why do you want to break them in...

fresh bearings are the best....
