And you also need to take into consideration how any type of medication for a human would affect a pet when you compare body types, age and weight of humans in comparison to pets. This is not something I would take lightly. Seek help for your dog ASAP. Things like chocolate and onions can be dangerous, even deadly to pets. So imagine what a sleeping pill might do to a dog, or any pet for that matter. I hope I'm not sounding harsh in my answer, but I used to work as a Veterinary Assistant many years ago and have seen bad, sad, and sometimes deadly effects of things happen to pets from far less dangerous things than a sleeping pill.
