Who was the author and illustrator of Sleeping Beauty?
There have been many versions of Cinderella's story dating as far back the first century BC where it was first historically recorded by a Greek historian who went by the name of Strabo.
The most notable version was written in 1697 by the French author Charles Perrault. This was the first book to include a pumpkin, glass slippers and Cinderella's wish-granting fairy god mother.
He published the tale of Cinderella in a book of fairy tales he entitled The Tales of Mother Goose (translated from French). In this same book, he published the tale of Sleeping Beauty.
What is the character traits of Snow White?
Cinderella was patient (a lot people would have told the stepsisters and stepmom how they REALLY felt)
She was incredibly resiliant to any form of disorder as the result of her trauma and abuse. (most people, when put through both parents dying when they were young and being treated as a slave in their own home, would have some sort of therapy need, most likely)
She was kind (she made the mice clothes and stuff)
She was obedient (she took the most ridiculous amount of work with no complaint)
She was beautiful (the prince liked her, right?)

What gifts do the three good faries give in Sleeping Beauty?
In the ballet version, the fairies present their gifts of beauty, grace, generosity, song, and temperament, they are interrupted by the arrival of the witch. Luckily the blue fairy has yet to give her present. She declares that although Aurora will prick her finger she will not die. Instead she will fall into a deep sleep from which she will be awoken by the kiss of a prince.
In the version by Disney, she is given beauty and song, the third gift was altered to change Malificent's curse.
What is the real story behind Sleeping Beauty?
There are versions of this tale in several cultures. The oldest written one that I know of is "Sun, Moon and Talia" from Basile's "Pentameron." When I read that story, I got the feeling that the inspiration for this tale is a woman awakening from a coma. Talia passes out from the pain of a piece of flax under her fingernail and is mistaken for dead. Her grieving father can't bear to remain in the house, so he shuts it up, leaving her inside, and the untended yard becomes a wilderness. All this has the ring of truth. Then the prince comes along and checks out the mystery house. In a disgusting turn of events that has the ring of truth, he rapes the sleeping girl. She becomes pregnant. We've seen modern news accounts of women falling into comas AFTER becoming pregnant and giving birth while still in the coma. I don't know how likely it was in the Middle Ages that a woman in a coma would give birth, especially if she had no one to tend to her. Here the story enters fantasy. She gives birth to twins. They need to suck, and one sucks the flax from under her fingernail. That wakes her up. She is surprised to discover she's become a mother. The prince returns, takes her as his mistress (he's already married, the cad!) and things go really wrong when his wife finds out. This, too, could have really happened.
That's the long answer to your question. The short answer: We don't know the real story. Very likely Sleeping Beauty was inspired in part by real-life events. The rest is imagination.

What is the Pink Fairy's name in Sleeping Beauty?
In the originals, yes, they were Sisters Faith, Hope, and Charity- Disney knocked out the religious habit- but retained a similar conservative dress- but no religious articles, and renamed the trio Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, after the creations of nature. it is obvious the originals were Religious, but Disney, as usual would have Nun of it! There are no religious characters ( Nuns, priests, ministers, etc) in any important roles in any Disney films. In addition ( I am taking mainly of cartoons and not things llike Almost Angels- a service comedy adapted to Choir Boys) churches are, at best backdrop scenery- there are more than occasional jabs against religion throughout the Disney Canon.
