If anything they actually oppose the devil. They're opposing mankind since the world has been going far downhill and they resent that, creating that dark image. They emphasize that in their song "The Heretic Anthem" with the lyric "If you're 555 then I'm 666" 555 being the number of man and 666 being the number of the beast (not the Devil). What they mean by that is if man is this bad then Slipknot must be the beast because of how chaotic the world is and engulfed in.
