What does a cave spider eat?

There are several genera of spiders that get called "hunting spiders." Their common characteristic is that they do not use webs to catch their prey. Instead, they crawl around looking for things to grab and bite. Some of them operate in bushes and other tall vegetation, some live close to water and may even be able to walk on the surface of the water, some stay mostly on the ground (and may spend part of the time in their burrow). Spiders are, generally speaking, hunters who take targets of convenience. So what an individual spider eats may depend a great deal on what happens to be available. Some hunting spiders occasionally catch minnows or small fish, but the one who catch such water creatures are likely to be the so-called "fishing spiders" that live near and on the water. Wolf spiders generally stay on the ground, so they would rarely have the opportunity to catch a moth or butterfly. However, should a moth drop to earth within sight of a wolf spider then it would likely get pounced on. Lynx spiders like to climb around on bushes and small trees, so they would be most likely to encounter fling insects that might land near them and insects that are likely to crawl around where they live. Jumping spiders like to hunt in bright daylight and favor the trunks of trees and vertical surfaces like walls in the sun. They are most likely to catch house flies, horse flies, and other insects that like to fly around in the sun and to rest on vertical surfaces. There are snakes that are tiny when full grown and even smaller when newly hatch, newborn baby mice that would make a meal for a big wolf spider or fishing spider if they had the opportunity to catch one, etc. In other words, any living thing about the same size or smaller than a hunting spider would be an acceptable meal in moth cases. The exceptions are probably things like wolly bears and slime-covered worms that have their own kinds of special protection from predation.

Where is a spiders abdomen?

Spiders are chelicerates and therefore arthropods.[6] As arthropods they have: segmented bodies with jointed limbs, all covered in a cuticle made of chitin and proteins; heads that are composed of several segments that fuse during the development of the embryo.[5] Being chelicerates, their bodies consist of two tagmata, sets of segments that serve similar functions: the foremost one, called the cephalothorax or prosoma, is a complete fusion of the segments that in an insect would form two separate tagmata, the head and thorax; the rear tagma is called the abdomen or opisthosoma.[6] In spiders the cephalothorax and abdomen are connected by a small cylindrical section, the pedicel.[7] The pattern of segment fusion that forms chelicerates' heads is unique among arthropods, and what would normally be the first head segment disappears at an early stage of development, so that chelicerates lack the antennae typical of most arthropods. In fact chelicerates' only appendages ahead of the mouth are a pair of chelicerae, and they lack anything that would function directly as "jaws".[5][8] The first appendages behind the mouth are called pedipalps, and serve different functions within different groups of chelicerates.[6
