The Forever stamp costs what ever the current rate is for one ounce of US Postage. That is currently 44 cents. It will be valid to mail one ounce 'forever' regardless of how much it cost originally.

If the stamp has perforations all around, then it is Scott Catalogue number 1281 which was issued on September 16, 1967.

If it has perforations on two opposite sides of the stamps, then it is Scott Catalogue number 1297 which was issued on November 4, 1975.

This stamp was first issued in 1986 as part of the definitive series of Great Americans. It can be purchased online from a dealer for 15 cents used and 25 cents mint. The nominal price indicates that it is of little value and a dealer is not want to buy one copy.

The 8 cent cent stamp covered the cost for a first class stamp beginning on 16 May 1971. The rate was valid until March of 1974. At that point the postcard rate became 8 cents.

Minor color variations can make a big difference in value as well. You'll have to do some serious research to determine exactly which stamp and its value. "JS" isn't a mint mark. It's the initials of the coin's designer, John Sinnock. His monogram appears under FDR's portrait.

It will depend on many factors. Many common single stamps are not worth dealing with. However, depending on what country issued it, whether they are used or mint, and their condition, they could have some value. Consult a stamp catalog for the country in question and identify the stamp. It will also assist you in finding the value.

That would be Scott number US 2065. It was issued on November 11, 1983. It has a catalog value of 40 cents mint and 20 cents used.

I saw two sell on eBay recently one sold for $300 and the other for $500. As with anything the value is determined by what ever someone will pay for it. I also saw just one stamp from the collection sell for $50.

hat would be Scott number US 1898. It has a value of 18 cents both used or mint.

A First Class postage stamp cost 3 cents in 1946.

Queen Elizabeth has appeared on postage stamps in the largest number of countries around the world, including Canada, Australia, and Great Britain.

Martha Washington has only been pictured on four cent or eight cent stamps. They would be Scott numbers 636, 556 and 306. Consult a postage stamp catalog, they all have some nice value in mint condition.

United States Scott #1370. You can purchase a used copy for 15 cents. A mint, or unused, copy would be 45 cents.

In the US the official First Class rate was raised to 39 cents on January 8, 2006. That covered the first ounce of weight. The 37 cent rate had gone into effect on June 30, 2002.

There were 105 types of this plaid stamp manufactured, they are worth around $50 a piece now. The best way to find out this answer though, is to inquire the intelligence of a stamp collector.

It wasn't issued in 1913 - it was issued between 1981-1984 as part of a series. It's worth about .20 cents mint and used.

The US doesn't issue 'Christian' stamps, however, they have issued Christmas stamps since 1964. There are commonly two designs. One is rather generic and pictures a winter or holiday type scene. The other shows more of a religious motiff, often a piece of art work featuring Mary and the Baby Jesus.

Forever stamps will have the word FOREVER printed on them. If the do not have a value and do not say forever, they have a fixed value.

The "Penny Black" is considered the first ever postage stamp. It was introduced by the British for entirely internal use in 1840. It was called the "Penny Black" because it was black and it cost one penny. The only design was Queen Victoria's head. Other denominations (and colours) were introduced once the idea caught on internationally. The portrait of Queen Victoria was taken from a medal by William Wyon, as adapted in a sketch by Henry Corbould. It was engraved by Frederick Heath and recess-printed by Perkins Bacon & Co. When the British first introduced postage stamps, it was only ever considered to be for internal use, so a country name was not considered necessary however, as time went by and more countries caught onto the concept of pre-paid postage, they continued to not put the country name on their stamps because they were adequately identified by having no country name and Queen Victoria's head.

Mint US stamps are worth their face value to use as postage, so use yours that way, if you need postage.

Otherwise, your stamp has negligible value ( less than 25 cent retail) , but please do not throw it away! Keep it

in your stamp collection for your children or yourself when you have more time. If you have more than one,

you may be able to trade it for stamps of similar value. .

Or give it to a collector friend. Collectors always appreciate the thought even it they do not need the stamp.

In the US the official First Class rate was 10 cents beginning March 2, 1974. It stayed at that rate until it went to 13 cents the last day of 1975. In September of 1975, they dropped the cost of additional ounces by a penny.
