The Anaheim Ducks team was started in 1993 by Disney. The hockey club was started and named after the Disney movie the Mighty Ducks.

actually i hate to admit this because im a New Jersey Devils fan and a Calgary Flames fan but it actually happend to be Toronto Maple Leafs in 1948-49,and the Ducks in 06-07 and they both entered number 8 seed

you don't have to pay, they pay you, because the only people that get to "host" the Stanley cup are the NHL players that have won it.. ;)

The original bowl was made of silver and has a dimension of 18.5 centimeters (7.28 inches) in height and 29 centimeters (11.42 inches) in diameter. The current Stanley Cup, topped with a copy of the original bowl, is made of silver and nickel alloy. Today, it has a height of 89.54 centimeters (35.25 inches) and weighs 15.5 kilograms (34.5 lb).

2011: No, the San Jose Sharks were defeated by the Vancouver Canucks in the Western Conference finals, 4 games to 1.

The New Jersey Devils won their first Stanley Cup in the 1994-95 season. They defeated the Detroit Red Wings, four games to none.

As of yet, no Minnesota team has won a Stanley cup, however the North Stars made the Stanley cup final twice (in '81 and '91), only winning 1 total game in those two series.

The winning team has the Stanley Cup for the summer between hockey seasons. As part of this, each player and executive of the winning team is given one day during the summer when the Cup is in their possession. The Cup has travelled all over North America and Europe.

This tradition was only started in the 1990s. Before the Hall of Fame existed, the winning team took care of the Cup until the next team won it. Once the Hall of Fame was started in 1945, the Cup was returned each fall for safe-keeping.

The most recent Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup was the 1993 Montreal Canadiens. Five Stanley Cup Finals since then have had a Canadian team lose to an American team: 1994 New York Rangers defeated Vancouver Canucks, 2004 Tampa Bay Lightning defeated Calgary Flames, 2006 Carolina Hurricanes defeated Edmonton Oilers, 2007 Anaheim Ducks defeated Ottawa Senators, and 2011 Boston Bruins defeated Canucks. The last Finals to be played between two Canadian teams was in 1989, when the Calgary Flames defeated the Canadiens.
