Bella has a small birthday party with the Cullen's at their house and gets a paper cut from her birthday presents wrapping paper, Jasper who is the newest to the family still cant resist blood so lunges at Bella. Edward knocks Jasper back to save Bella and succeeds It was high time the Cullen's started to move because people would start to recognize they weren't ageing so Edward takes Bella to the woods to talk to her. Edward breaks up with Bella to protect her because she nearly died at her little birthday bash and he doesn't want to hurt her again. He leaves her in the woods and she lays down and sleeps. Her life was miserable and Jacob Black helped her out and they started to fall in love. Alice ( Edwards sister) Had a vision of Bella jumping off a cliff and dieing so Edward goes to the royal, foreign clan (the Volturi), who by the way are the leaders of the vampires. He wants to expose himself to the humans who live there so they scarper and the Volturi don't get any blood so they get annoyed and kill him because he cannot live without Bella being alive. What Alice didn't know was that Bella had been jumping off for fun and Jacob saved her so when Alice found out she came to tell Bella about Edward. They traveled to Italy (where the Volturi lives) to get Edward and save him just in time before he went out into the light to reveal his shimmering vampire skin. Part of the Volturi clan see them and take them to the top room of their home. They are let go only if Bella becomes a vampire soon because humans cant know about vampires... AND THEN THEY GO HOME SAFELY SOON TO HAVE MORE ADVENTURES!! :)

The Cullens then join forces with the werewolf pack to combat this threat. As everyone else prepares for battle, Edward, Bella, and Jacob, camp up in the mountains, hidden during the battle, where they are later joined by Seth Clearwater, a young member of the werewolf pack, to wait out of the fight.

In the morning, Jacob becomes upset when he overhears Edward and Bella discussing their engagement and threatens to join the fight and get himself killed. To stop him, Bella kisses Jacob and realizes that she also loves him. During the battle, Victoria tracks Edward's scent to where Bella is hidden in the woods, and Edward is forced to fight. After Victoria and her army are successfully destroyed, Bella explains to Jacob that while she loves him, her love for Edward is greater. After receiving a wedding invitation from Edward, Jacob runs away in his wolf form to excape his pain, angry at Bella's decision to become a vampire.
