Remove one battery terminal and touch it to the other to discharge capacitors in the system. Reconnect the terminal and you are good to go. Don't forget to clean the terminal while you have it off.

It's on the bottom right side of the radiator.

I looked up tire size for a 2013 standard Outback 215-70/16. Answer clearly is "no". You cannot put 17" tires on 16" rims. The Outback Premium uses 225-60/17. If you put the smaller tires with the 55 aspect ratio your speedometer will read higher than your actual speed.

If I read between the lines and you are asking for tire diameter comparisons, it would be necessary for you to share the size currently on your car. OR

It would also help to know which Outback model you are asking about.

Engine oil, about 1.1 for the 4 cylinder and about 1.5 for the 6; Automatic transmission fluid about 2.2; Manual transmission little under 1; Engine coolant a little less than 2 for the 4 cylinder, a little more than 2 for the 6; gasoline almost 17; other capacities are far less than a gallon. Your owner's manual has all of this information.

Now if you are asking how much milk you can bring home you are more likely limited by weight than volume. There is a label on the driver's door pillar with gross vehicle weight ratings, figure 8 pounds per gallon and don't forget to include your weight.

Engine serial number is on the rear of the engine top left side. Illustration appears to be on the flange that bolts to the transmission.

From 1995 to 1999.....

Knock sensors on the Subaru 2.5 four are located on top side of the engine tucked under the intake manifold on left side near the back of the engine. Looks like a small black donut with a capscrew through the center and wires attached.

Oxygen sensors on all cars built in the last 20 years or so are located in the exhaust system. Subaru has them before and after the front catalytic converter.

Subarus all have a connector for a trailer wiring harness built in. There is a supplemental trailer harness that you purchase from your hitch supplier and it just plugs right in. Instructions are available on-line. This one is for a 2001, but they have been the same for a number of years.

This is not a simple answer, since payload consists of not only the bags of concrete you throw in the back, but also you, your passengers, fuel load and optional equipment as well as condition of the vehicle and the quality of the roads in your area.

Weight distribution is also important. For example, your car will handle much differently with a 320 pound person in the front seat as compared with 4 eighty pound bags of concrete in the back. I would not quote a number to an inexperienced driver and have my advice used to put him(her)self and others in danger.

Any additional weight you haul will change braking and handling characteristics and you need to decide if you feel safe driving where you have to go. I routinely hauled 500 pounds of corn in my Forester but that was in a rural area that did not tax my driving skills. It made the back of the car drop down enough to make my headlights annoying to other drivers so I did it during daylight hours and I was glad to not have to stop quickly. If you will routinely haul a lot of weight, start low and increase to see if you are still confident that you can handle and stop.

The neutral switch on a manual transmission is on the top rear of the transmission housing.

The radiator should be the same for all 95-99 model year Subaru Legacys. If I remember correctly, the upper and lower radiator hoses can be different, though, depending on the engine (i.e. EJ22 vs. EJ25) or Legacy version (i.e. Outback, etc.).

It has a 10 gallon tank with a 2 gallon reserve. I own a 97 subaru legacy with a 2.5 turbo and that's what mine holds10 gallon so I bet yours does too

*Hopefully* the same as other Subaru engines, low down the left hand side about half way up the engine (facing the engine) there should be a short yellow loop. Check it when the engine is cold!

To aim the fog lights on a 2006 Subaru Baja, first park the vehicle on a level surface about 25 feet from a wall. Turn on the fog lights and mark the center of the light beam on the wall with tape. Adjust the fog light's vertical aim by turning the adjusting screws located on the fog light assembly until the top of the beam is aligned with the mark. Make sure the lights are aimed correctly to avoid blinding other drivers while providing adequate illumination for your visibility.
