Yes, some do. The eastern limit of their range is southwestern Colorado, and the northernmost part of their range is the arid interior of Oregon. They are found south through Nevada, Utah, southeastern California, Arizona, New Mexico, and western Texas. They can also be found in Baja California and Mexico.

The swift fox, native to the Great Plains of southern Canada and the norther US and also called a kit fox, is classified as Vulpes velox. The long-eared kit fox, which lives in arid regions of the southwestern US and northern Mexico, is classified as Vulpes macrotis. This goes along with what was said above but where they live. My favorite animal, the kit fox lives in warm places because of it's large ears so it can easily stay cool, the swift fox can live in cooler places.

A swift fox is an omnivore, meaning they eat both meat and plants. They will sometimes eat grass to settle their stomachs like dogs do - and while they eat meat when it's available they will also eat fruits and berries when it's not.

My answer:

Alright, I don't know what the first answerer was talking about but... Whats being done is a captive breeding program for swift foxes is being built to make a better chance of survival for the Swift Foxes. In other words, people are finding Swift Foxes and taking them in, then putting a male and female together and "breeding" them. As in, setting up more mates together and making more Swift Foxes to avoid extinction.
