The Asus Zenfone 5 does work on the T-Mobile network but it must be refarmed area with 1900.But those areas are limited.

I like t-mobile smart phones compared to verizons because they are usually cheaper pricewise and the contract breakage fee is cheaper also. But then Verizon has the Iphone 4 now, so it all balances out to really what you are wanting.
