Petroleum jelly is too thick for your vagina to clean out easily, thus it can trap bacteria within the vagina so increasing risk of infection - if used with tampons the petroleum jelly would also trap tampon fibres, this plus additional bacterial growth will increase risk of vaginal infections and toxic shock syndrome. Petroleum jelly also acts like a barrier so would prevent moisture getting to vaginal tissues, this could cause vaginal dryness and increased vaginal tissue damage, this also increases risk of toxic shock syndrome.

If you need to sue lubrication when inserting tampons use water-based lubricants such as KY jelly or natural oils such as olive oil or coconut oil, another suggestion would be to masturbate as when aroused the vagina relaxes, opens, and lubricates.

Well depending on how long your tampon has been in. When you first put the tampon in there should be no blood when you wipe, the tampon should absorb it up, after a few hours and depending on your flow, you might start to notice some blood when you wipe. No it's not ,I am 11 though I have a bit of trouble putting them in. But make sure you don't use more than one at a time and replace them every 8 hours.

You should really go get an X-Ray. It could be serious. Stick to pads for now, and ask your Gyno for a refferance as to where you can get that X-Rayed.
