Worst to get bittin by is a black widow or a tarantula?
The worst symptoms with a tarantula bite are a bit pain full but the black widow's poison is worst. The black widow spider produces protein venom that affects the victim's nervous system. Some people are slightly affected by the venom, but others may have a severe response. The first symptom is acute pain at the site of the bite though there may only be a minimal local reaction.
The local pain may be followed by localized or generalized severe muscle cramps, abdominal pain, weakness, and tremor. In severe cases, nausea, vomiting, faintness, dizziness, chest pain, and respiratory difficulties may follow.
Can you use sawdust for tarantula bedding?
Yes, sawdust can be used for tarantula bedding, but it's important to choose a type that is safe and free from harmful chemicals, such as cedar or pine, which can be toxic. The sawdust should be finely shredded to prevent respiratory issues and should be kept dry to avoid mold growth. Additionally, consider mixing it with other substrates like coconut fiber or peat to create a more suitable environment for your tarantula. Always monitor your pet for any signs of stress or health issues related to the bedding.

I am not a great fan of tarantulas. No offense. One of co-workers has one though and he said his has not eaten in almost a year. Which is difficult believe, but..whatever. I think it has something to do with them molting, maybe? Check out Tarantula Com., you can probably find some good info there.

Your G. rosea is fine. I have a 13 year old that has fasted for over one year. They are notorious for long periods of not eating. Though this can make for a boring pet it is the natural behavior of the animal. A good way to determine if it is getting enough food is to keep an eye on the abdomen. If it gets much smaller than the carapace it needs to eat. The low caloric intake of this species contributes to the incredibly long life span of up to 30 years!
Where does a tarantula find its food?
The blood of flies and other insects that the spider catches in their webs. Spiders do drink the blood of insects.

A tarantula is orange and black because it was originated like that. The Tarantula mostly lives in Australia. The Tarantula is probally as big as a 9-10 year old's hand. When you ask, why the tarantula is orange and black, it is because God decided to design a tarantula orange and black. I don't know if that answer is true, but I think I might as well think positive.
Just be careful what you step on when you go to Australia. If might as well be a Tarantula. :0
What are the eating habits of west African tarantula?
West African tarantulas mainly eat insects and other arthropods, especially larger ones like crickets and grasshoppers, June beetles, cicadas, and caterpillars. When a tarantula captures its prey, it first bites it, injecting it with a paralyzing venom. The tarantula then secretes digestive enzymes that turn the victim's body into soup. The spider can then suck up its meal using straw-like mouthparts.
