The End of the World (apocalypse)

well, my friend, think of it this way,if it is going to end in 2012 then wait until december 24th or sometime in the december 20ths, and in 2102 we will most likely be dead anyway, so no need to worry about the second one. now if you are thinking about those mayans, dont believe a thing, it is one big calendar. i believe that the poor sod making it died or got bored, thats why it stopped. proof of that is probably the fact that if they predicted the tsunami and the rise of hitler, they must have signaled it on the calendar, right?. now on the calendar, it says nothing about any world ending or, in fact, anything about major disasters. it just stopped. and so now you know. hope this helped.

There is no belief in Judaism that the world will end. Judaism believes that when the Jewish Maschiach (messiah) arrives, he will usher in world peace, and 'perfect the world' so that we have G-d's kingdom, right here on earth. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i think the world will end in 2021 and I'm really scared

The most probable means by which the world can be expected to end, or to at least become uninhabitable to people, would be as a result of a large comet crashing into the Earth (similar to an event thought to have caused the extinction of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago). If this does not happen, in about 3 billion years the sun will expand into a red giant and the Earth will be cooked.

A worldwide pandemic is more likely to wipe out mankind than any other scenario. Diseases and viruses are constantly mutating, not drastically most of the time though. We cant be sure what will end the world, whether it is a pandemic, or simply just running out of resources to sustain life.

Many people have predicted the end of the world. If you take a look around you will see that they have all got it wrong. They will continue to do so. It is not possible to predict the end of the world without some physical evidence.

If you're asking whether the world is going to end on December 21, 2012, the answer is almost certainly "no." There is no evidence that any of the various predicted disasters is happening or about to happen.

This newest end of the world is based on the idea that an ancient calendar reaches its end on December 21, 2012. That part is true. But every calendar ends, and then a new year (or in this case, a new cycle) begins. Last year our Western calendar ended on December 31 - but the world kept going. January 1 was the beginning of a brand-new year.

People have claimed that a planet, or a star, or sunspots, or pole shifts, earthquakes, global warming, global freezing, or various other events will end the world. This is incorrect for a couple of reasons.

First, most of these notions are based on fiction or warped facts, often twisted to make a scarier story. Sunspots are real, for example, and they do seem to come in cycles. But nothing shows that they're any worse this year than during the last cycle, or the ones before that. In fact, this cycle doesn't reach its peak until 2013.

Second, science couldn't predict any of these things so exactly as to say on which they they'd happen. We can't even predict the weather much beyond three days or so. We don't know when or where Hurricane Sandy is going to make landfall.

I think it is probably more helpful to ignore the end of the world, and work on solving the real problems that will still be here on December 22, 2012. It's nice to think that if the world ended on 12/21, you wouldn't have to buy any Christmas presents this year - but I don't recommend relying on it.

2012 - The world will not end. There are such beings called Indigo's that are from the stars to help us. They are the special one that bring peace, love and help. They do not know about them being from the stars or being an Indigo Child - also known as "Star Child" - because they are so used to human emotion. It is not until they are older that they really start to feel different - not in a bad way - and realize they are one of the chosen 4000. The world will not end, it will just be the Indigo's that go up to the 4th and 5th dimension, and the evil, cruel, normal ones stay down here; the 3rd dimension (3D). Some adults may lose their children because their child/children are one of the chosen. There will always be 4000 because as soon as one dies, their spirit takes onto a new life, is reborn again and is yet again, set on their journey to free the innocent and protect our Galaxy.

Kennedy did not stop World War Three because it never started. He may have helped prevent another world war but that is hard to determine. It is certain that he did not start one, even though at the time he seemed to bring the US to the brink of war with the USSR. Now, it seem likely that the Russians were no more eager to go to war than the US was.

World War II occurred in the period 1939 to 1945.

Jehovah's Witnesses don't know if 2012 will be the end of the world. When Jesus was asked when the "conclusion of this system"would be ("end of the world" - King James Translation) he said at Matthew 24:36 that nobody knew the date. The sign he gave in Matthew 24:3-14 (especially verse 14) matches our time very well. The Witnesses certainly think the end of this system is not far away. Note (as mentioned in verse 14) this would be "good news". The witnesses understand "the end of the world" to be the end of this corrupt system ruled by Satan. Not the end of the planet or humankind as is often meant when people talk of "the end of the world". Following the end, God's Kingdom will govern mankind. They look forward to such a change with hope, not dread.

actually nobody knows when it is going to end only the Father knows ( God ). Not even Jesus himself knows when it is going to end. He said that no one will know what time or day or anything. So really there will be tribulation and all of that. While that happens there will be an anti-christ. He will claim to be God but i think is Satan. There will be a mark called " the beast" it is the numbers 666 you will either get it on your hand or forehead. If you get that mark you will be satans. While that is happening and you are left behind, and you are trying to hide they will always find you no matter what. Once you get it i think you will be transformed into satans imaged. While everybody here on earth is trying not to get the mark some people will be at a wedding up in the Heavens (is what my pastor said). We will have a party but will not know anyone because he will erase our memory. He will do that because if someone you love is left behind and you are in the Heavens and you remember about them you will be sad and he does not want you to be sad. If you see someone you know up there you will have a feeling for them but you will not know them. Back here on Earth people who are left behind and do not want to take the mark will cut their heads off. If you had gone to Church a couple of times and you are left behind you might want to cut off your head and i think you might go to the Heavens. Jesus will accept apologies for anything, but if you say he is not real you will go to hell and burn. after seven years of peace on earth Satan will be released from his prison and will betrayed of the people who are on earth. After the seven years of peace their will be a war in which it will be Jesus's team and Satan's team. You do not fight with weapons you fight with spiritual weapons( the Bible is your shield and praying is your weapon). As always Jesus will be the one who will win and the people who went to the Heavens will live on Earth will gold streets and will be just like Jesus. If you do not believe me go to a church and be christian and say sorry to Jesus for all of you've done, he will accept your apology. Jesus is so wonderful that he gave up his life for us so thank him and God to because he sent his only child to die on that cross, but remember JESUS IS ALIVE NOT DEAD. another thing is that God rotates the earth by his love not by it axis everything is functioned by God. GOD IS GOOD,ALL THE TIME!!

It's not a matter if world war 3 happens, it's when it will happen. its certain we will have a 3rd great war, its mans destiny to destroy the world he created

If we had a wordl war 3, it would be devistating because since the 1940s countries have been building nuclear and atomic weaponary, the first atomic bomb was designed by germany but america builded it and used it on 2 cities, whiles nuclear weaponary was first invented in late 70s early 80 when the 2 super poers USSR and USA was close from starting a nuclear warfare. currently only Nuclear weaponary have only been used in testing and in non-military combat testing. that still doesn't mean they wont use it.

If world war 3 breaked out, at first it's likely to be tanks,battleships,guns and jets battling but if 1 country such as america started to use nuclear weapons onto countries like russia or germany, then other countries like China, England, France, India, Pakistan, North Korea, Israel and possible Iran and Iraq. would start using their weaponary because, nuclear weapons are usually used on rockets/missles, for high speed. 1 thing linked to this is the WMD(Weapons of Mass Destruction) it's currently a myth that it a weapon that could cause a lot of damage and wipe out billions of lifes.

The tactics used in a world war would be powerful and fierced, secrete and undetectable. apart from a Atomic/Nuclear warfare, their would be a rise of Guerilla warfare, mostprobably in areas like africa or Antartica. Another possible taqctic would be an man made Natural desturuction, Humans creating a large natural disaster such as an a tsunami, floods or a volcanic eruption

The main targets for any side is to destroy all fuel and power factories, such as oil, gas and electric, then national state capitols and military bases such as AREA 51 etc....

The damage of the war would bankrupt the world and likely other 90% of the worlds population would be wiped out in a matter of 1-10 years. Species will be extinct, the age we lived in would go back to the dark ages, humans would need to hunt their food. Also, many cities and countries would be destroyed

Biblical times and before. So for thousands of years. Most humans, no matter what century or milenium, want to believe in life after death. So it is more a human condition, people don't like to think about not 'being'.

During the cold war years (1945-1990) the US would not normally engage in military affairs, without taking into consideration of possible Soviet/Red Chinese intervention. Unless they were blatant acts of aggression such as the Korean & Vietnam Wars. The result of NO MORE COLD WAR has allowed the US to conduct Operation Desert Storm in January to February 1991; and more military operations since then: Bosnia, Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan), and Iraqi Freedom (Iraq). With no Soviet Union to stop us (no cold war), we now have the freedom to POLICE any trouble spot on the globe.

They don't. All scientists know is that at some time in the future it is an almost certainty that the world as we know it will come to an end. Our sun will eventually burn out and with no sun there could be no life on our planet. Some scientist predict the sun will blow up in about 3,000,000,000 years the sun will explode and start from a tiny speck again.

The world is supposed to end in at least another 3-5 Billion Years.

The world will not end on December 21, 2012.
