It's called Catching Fire because, in the first book when Katniss pulls out the poisonous berries in the arena she creates a spark, because with that move she defies the capitol. In the second book the districts are being ignited because of the spark Katniss created. So in theory Panem is catching fire.

They made the Games have twice the actual number of tributes. So instead of 24 total, there were 48 total. 4 from each district, 2 boys and 2 girls

There's no resolution to the whole plot, but escaping the arena was a big resolution to being in the 75th annual Hunger Games. That made both Katniss and Peeta get out, and one of my favorite characters, Beetee ;)

Katniss is torn. She likes Peeta (really does) but at the same time she's madly in love with whats - his - name that she's known for a very long time, and she denies both because she's afraid if she admits to either and they have children their children will get reaped into the Hunger Games arena.

If you mean in the perspective of the Games, then she gained : leaves that helped her tracker jacker stings, learned that the " sunglasses " were night vision glasses. Rue also helped Katniss blow up the careers supplies by being a diversion.

No, not at all. I mean, it's the same as they both have teenagers trying to do things and take down the people who made them do what they are doing, but it is different. In the Maze Runner, they try to get out of the maze by using strategy and trying to figure out a way. It is also against the rules to hurt someone on purpose. In the Hunger Games, they fight each other to death to try to survive. It is a little bit the same, but overall, not really.

12-14 in the Trilogy. So I'm guessing 12 in 'The Hunger Games' and 14 by the time of 'Mockingjay'. He is at least 12 in Catching Fire because Katniss remarks how he signs up for tesserae.

In The Hunger Games he is 16, but he turns 17 somewhere in Catching Fire, he's the same age as Katniss, in which, if you have read Mockingjay, she says she is 17 years old. So throughout the series 16-17 years of age

Because of the complication, that resulted with Katniss and peeta ending up in The Games. Since every thing Katniss and peeta went through a lot, they didn't want to leave each other. So they both put poison berries in there mouths. And over the speaker came a voice saying "WAIT!". Because if they both dies the Hunger Games will not and can not continue. That is how Katniss and Peeta survive the 74th hunger games. Poison berries represent the resolution because without them, nobody would of won and the story would of ended.

The Hunger Games is set to come out around 2011. They're still working on casting, so we'll all be waiting a while.

The gamemakers announced that 2 people can win and beaome victors if they share the same district. then later Katniss and Peeta killed everyone else even Cato! Then the gamemakers announced they changed the rules again. Now only one person could win and go home to their district. Katniss could not stand for that so she pulled out nightlock, a poisoness berry that they used to kill foxfae and tHEY BOTH TRIED TO KILL themselves but, then the gamemakers announced them winners right at the last moment. this was an act of rebellion to President Snow! No, The Hunger Games is a trilogy. The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay. However, Susanne Collins admitted that she has been working on a 4th book but whether or not it is published she does not know.
