Circle of life means that everything in this world is interrelated. The herbivores eat grass, carnivores eat herbivores, carnivores die and plants absorb them to grow and hence this way all living beings are related to one another in some way or the other.

I believe the moral issue of The Lion King stage musical is to find and take your place in the Circle of Life just like Simba has to take his place in the Circle of Life as king of Pride Rock.

Nobody generally discovered The Lion King because it is a film created by Disney. But, the late Thomas Disch came up with a treatment titled "King of the Kalahari" which Roger Allers, Don Hahn, Rob Minkoff, Kirk Wise, Gary Trousdale, and many others turned into a movie. So, you can say Thomas Disch came up or "discovered" the idea which would become The Lion King.

The lion king is an animated movie. It was not filmed, But produced in South Africa by an American team of animators, music composers, script writers etc.
The Lion King was not filmed anywhere as it is not a live-action film. Animation done on The Lion King was at the Walt Disney Feature Animation studio in Glendale, California and at the Disney-MGM Studios, a satellite Disney animation studio in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
