It's quiet simple actually to access your EBT account. All you have to do really is got to EBT.com and then you just have to type in your information and then you can log into your account to access your food stamps.

I think people should be allowed to buy what they want on food stamps...I know you can't buy preparerd food or anything like that. But chips and candy yes, they may have children and they should be able to buy that for them... They should buy healthy food also, but kids like to have cookies and candy sometimes too...

yes you can. i think they allowed it now to be bought, because a week ago i went to walmart and bought a protein powder and some other supplements, i thought i might have to pay cash but nope i just swiped my ebt with the other foods and in went thought so yes.

Yes the SNAP program is through the USDA and is a federal program. Benefits can be used in any state throughout the US and Puerto Rico. The state in which they are issued is irrelevant. If a retailer takes snap benefits, you may use it in the state of your choice.

I currently receive benefits in Alabama. I live in Phenix City, AL which is on the border of GA. Many of the stores that I shop at are closer if I just go across the line to GA and my benefits are accepted. Prior to becoming unemployed, I was a store manager for a Dollar Tree and we accepted SNAP benefits. I never had a problem processing transactions for out of state benefits.

As of the end of the 2012 Georgia legislative session, under GA § 49-4-184 (Eligibility for assistance), an applicant or recipient for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) is ineligible if he was 1) convicted of a serious violent felony on or after January 1, 1997; or 2) convicted of a felony under the Georgia Controlled Substances Act on or after January 1, 1997.

A "serious violent felony" is defined as murder or felony murder, armed robbery, kidnapping of a victim under age 14, rape, aggravated child molestation, aggravated sodomy, and aggravated sexual battery.

A felon whose crime does not fall under either 1) or 2) above would be eligible for TANF in Georgia.

You don't necessarily qualify for low income apartments if you are on food stamps. They are different programs, though they are intended to help the same groups of people, and the requirements for them are slightly different.

NO...not in GA anyway. You are automatically denied for being a "law breaker", however your income does count. Even if you have sucessfully completed jail, rehab and probation you are not eligible.

Yes you can receive Food Stamps with an IRA. In the last couple of years rules were changed that no longer consider an IRA as part of your assets.

Whole foods does accept Ebt, but you can NOT use it for the salad bar items or thier hot foot selections.
