It does not say in the book, but it in the show, to my guess she's one of her serial number great grandmothers, by my guestimation, fourth-great, because Emily is Bonnie's 4th-great grandma, and they seemed to be around the 'same age, no, I lie, Katherine Is higher up, because Katherine was about 390+ when she met Damon and Stephane! :)

personally i think it is one of the best series ever (after twilight).

Elena Gilbert is human and a teenage hottie at her school. When mysterious new foreign boy Stefan Salvatore and his brother Damon show up her life begins to get complicated. She is drawn to Stefan and soon realises she is in love but a dangerous one.

the Salvatore brothers have a deadly secret that Elena is now a part of. they have to battle others of their kind and fight stronger and darker wild powers. It has nothing to do with twilight and is by a completely different author, L.J.Smith.

Elena has a choice to make. a choice of danger, a choice of life, a choice of death. Which will she choose and which brother will she have?

The town prepares for the return of the comet by holding a festival. In Mr. Tanner's class, Stefan shows how knowledgeable he is on historical dates, which impresses his classmates but angers Tanner. Later, Elena goes to visit Stefan at the Boarding House but encounters his brother, Damon, instead and he makes her uneasy when he brings up Katherine. As soon as Stefan arrives in the room, she notices a lot of uneasiness between them and opts to leave.

Stefan also goes to see Vicki at the hospital and compels her, so she thinks an animal attacked her. Damon teases him over the fact that not drinking human blood has caused his powers to weaken and Stefan asks him what he's up to but Damon refuses to answer the question.

Vicki later gets out of hospital and believes she recognises Damon from somewhere. He later attacks her again and this leads to a confrontation on a roof top between the brothers and Stefan tells Damon to expose him, as he'll be killed and finally free of his evil brother. Damon lets Vicki go and tells Stefan that he's thinking of staying in town.

Elena visits Stefan again at the Boarding House and they talk to each other about their feelings and share their first kiss. Elsewhere, Damon picks up Caroline and the two of them have sex in her bedroom, leading to him savagely attacking her when his desire for blood kicks in.

Stefan and Damon give her blood and she drives off a bridge and wakes up as a vampire.

In Season 1 finale, John Gilbert trigered the Gilbert device to round up all of the tomb vampires at the founders party/parade. The device made all of the vampires fall to the ground and then they were taken into a room where they would be left to burn. Damon is caught (as well as Tyler's dad who turns out to be a wolf) but Bonnie puts the fire down while Stefan goes in and saves him. End of the parade, you see Damon and 'Elena' outside the Gilbert' residence while they are kissing.

The next scene, you see Elena coming up to the door and swearing that someone had taken her clothes and other stuff. Meanwhile, the other 'Elena who kissed Damon' is in the kitchen, tries to kill John and you realise she's Katherine. It ends when the real Elena walks into the house and hears something... Duh duh duh... (evil music...)

Season 2:

Stefan trades himself over to Klaus in return for Klaus' blood. He orders Katherine to give Damon the blood since it will heal Damon's werewolf bite, therefore letting her out of the house. Surprisingly though, she gives it to him and flees. Earlier, Jeremy was shot and while Bonnie was healing him, the witches whispered to her that there would be consequences but she doesnt listen. The last scene, Jeremy wakes up and walks downstairs. Vicki Bennet calls his name, and then Anna does. So we're guessing that the consequences are that he can now see dead people or vampires.

P.S. Klaus is making Stefan drink heaps and heaps of human blood and making him com with Klaus.

She has a White Open Wall Frame in her room.

Paint your room white. Find a brown wooden headbored. Elena's has little bumps on the top of it. So try to find something similar to that. Get nice comfy white sheets and blankets. Nice big and fluffy! She has hardwood flooring in her room. Make sure you have a simple brown bookshelf in your room stuffed with books. Also add your own touch to it. Add drawlings of your childhood and posters of people you like.

Elena choose Stefan simply because when it came down to it she realized she loved Stephan just like Bella realized she love Edward more. Simply she love Stefan more and he was a better choice then his brother

Elenea's parents died by their car being drove off Wickery Bridge in the hit tv series "Vampire Diaries". but the only reason Elena survived was that Stephen Salvator saved her .
