Titanic was not built bigger than Olympic. She enclosed her promenade deck, claiming more air and creating a little more gross tonnage, resulting in a larger classification, but she was the same size.

Technically, all four funnels were used. The fourth was known as a "dummy funnel" but it still was used for things like kitchen fumes. So from a distance, only the first three would have been seen to discharge exhaust.

Buoyancy, the total weight of the vessel has to displace that same weight of water. If the volume of the water displaced is less than the volume of the ship, or any other object for that matter, then it will float.

They knew they would not be able to get on a lifeboat, and also that they were more than likely to drown or die in some fashion. They decided to keep playing in order to calm other passengers who might meet the same fate (which may have helped more people get into lifeboats safely) and prevent them from panicking.

Originally, Titanic's designer,Alexander Carlisle, proposed 64 lifeboats which was reduced to 48, then 32, but only 16 were installed, enough for only 1,178 people if all boats were filled. Thomas Andrews insisted on the extra 4 collapsibles which saved more people, including Bruce Ismay who escaped in collapsible C!

No, they are completely different boats that met almost the same fate. The Titanic sank when she hit an iceberg in 1912.

Ooops, yes the Titanic hit the iceberg, but the Lusitania was sunk by a German U boat (There is a theory the British did it & blamed the Germans) and some US passengers died. This was in May, 1915. It is cited as one of the reasons the US entered into WW1. Sorry, my fault!!!!

In the air today First class gets a few drinks and a larger seat. It has great snob appeal though.

Some of the most famous passengers are Margaret "Molly" Brown, John Jacob Astor and his wife Madeleine, Benjamin Guggenheim, Sir Cosmo Duff Gordon and his wife Lady Lucy, Millvina Dean (the last living survivor), Elizabeth Lines, and Helen Churchill Candee

There were lots of birds, turtles, cats, and dogs! 2-3 dogs survived and there were about 9 on board you do the math.
