Yes as a matter of fact they do. I have had my toad for 2 years now and i recently got a long-tailed lizard and they get along well.. at first they didn't know what to do but they soon became fond of each other and they even play sometimes.. it all depends on the type of lizard and the type of toad. But they have the same environment and eat the same food.

If you know where it came from return it there. Toads, like many other amphibians return to the same water in which they hatched themselves in order to spawn. They will travel large distance if necessary to return to the 'birth place.'
