I have a bunch of baseball cards are they worth anything?
The value of baseball cards as with any other collectible is dictated by supply, and demand. The lower the number of items available on the market with the highest demand will have a higher value. Older baseball cards are fewer in number than today's baseball cards, and in general have a higher value. There are modern cards that have high value, that are available in high numbers but, the demand for those cards is greater than the number avalible. As time passes if collectors lose interest in these cards because of the large numbers printed the value will drop big time. The older cards in less number in time will have a better chance of holding their value longer.

Who makes the gum in baseball card packs?
This is a great question. Starting as the Topps gum company in 1938, the Brooklyn, NY based, Topps Gum was eventually replaced by Bazooka Bubble Gum in 1947 and is now one of America's most recognized products. Topps added trading cards in 1950 to try and enhance gum sales. That year, Hopalong Cassidy and Frank Buck "Bring 'em Back Alive" cards were issued. The following year the first baseball cards were published (Red Backs, and Blue Backs game cards.) In 1952 the First set was issued with the famed Mickey Mantle Rookie Card, and a Stick of Gum! Topps received numerous complaints from collectors that the gum was either staining the cards, or creating an impression in them, sacrificing their "mint" condition. The gum was eliminated in 1991. There was nothing like the pleasure of opening up a fresh pack of baseball cards, and smelling that sweet aroma of that stick of gum included with the cards. Sticking that brittle piece of gum in your mouth, and cracking the gum into smaller hard grainy pieces until the Gum became soft and chewy. It was heaven. They should have never removed the Gum. It was an experience worth sacrificing a baseball card to a stain. I don't know why collectors get upset over the gum stain anyway. To me it's like a letter of Authenticity. How many fake baseball cards have you seen with a gum stain? It was part of the baseball card experience. I think Gum Stains are great! -Steven KeyMan Check out "Gum Stain" - in my new Baseball Collectibles Glossary. The Gum is Back! - I'm not sure if this is the first year but the 2008 Topps Opening Day baseball cards come with Gum in every pack. See the Related Links for "Glossary Of Baseball Collectible Terms > G > Gum Stain " to the bottom for the answer.
What is the most expensive hockey card?
Which hockey card is best? This is a very open-ended question. As a long-time collector and a writer of sports memorabilia topics I can think of many answers.
1/ If you like older hockey cards (pre-1980) then the response is simple O-Pee-Chee.
2/ But, if you like more modern era cards then without a doubt one of many Upper Deck products (usually the one with the shortest print run is the best).
3/ On a more personal level, the best hockey card is the one that you like best for whatever reason. It could simply be aesthetics that appeal to you or it could be the hockey card of your favorite team or player.
4/ If it is the value of one card that you are seeking then a Gordie Howe Rookie Card from 1951-52 Parhurst or a Bobby Orr Rookie Card from 1966-67 Topps.
The possibilities for this answer are endless!!

A Lou Gehrig autographed baseball card is worth between $2,500.-$3,500. Prices may vary based on condition, and the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature. Signatures that have not been authenticated could sell at half the market value or less.
Collectible items could add value to the price of a signature but not always. As in the case of a baseball card, generally collectors of baseball cards would rather have a baseball card without the signature. The signature would be considered as a flaw in the condition of the card and will lower the value.
A collector of signatures will not always pay extra for the "collectible" baseball card. The autograph collectors main concern is displaying the signature. This is why it is not a good idea to have an expensive baseball card signed. You could devalue the price of the card, and get less for it.
Once a collectible baseball card is signed the value of the card dramatically goes down as a collectible. The card then becomes an Item to display the signature. The bulk of the value relies on the value of the signature of the player that signed the card, and how well the card displays the signature.

The full set is fun. i have only open 1 to see whats inside. there are cards and 1 sticker
