As far as I am aware there isnt a trumpet brand name called Star Trumpets.

There is an Old's Super Star Trumpet which is one of the lesser collectable olds trumpets which go for around $500 in perfect original condition.

This is really simple! First put an ice pack or a napkin of ice on the place where the mouthpiece and receiver connect. Leave it there for a little while. After 5-10 minutes start turning the mouthpiece counter clockwise and it should come out very easily. If this still does not work use a lighter and very carefully hold it under the receiver. Then twist and that should do it. make sure not to melt your receiver and to wash it afterward. If it still does not work your mouthpiece has been severely jammed and you will have to take to repair shop to get fixed or use a pulling machine. Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!

Almost All ensembles of instruments in any genre are designed to be able to cover the full audio spectrum from Bass to soprano. The brass instruments cover three ranges in the area; Bass, Treble, and alto.

The Trumpet is a treble to alto range instrument.

The trombone is a Treble to bass instrument.

The Sousaphone or Euphoniums are bass to double bass instruments.

However, having said that, Jazz is not a particular style played with a particular set of instruments. It is a catchall name for any improvised music played on any instrument. All of the brass family of instruments have been used in Jazz bands. Equally all brass instruments are used in classical music.

For a small Dixie style band you would expect to see;

A trumpet

A trombone

A Banjo

A Sousaphone, Bombadon, or other bass brass instrument.

Drums

But even this isn't the minimum or maximum line up or even the definitive list of instruments that can or cannot be used.

All Jazz music is by definition, experimental to a greater or lesser degree.

However, since the trumpet was the first of the metal instruments -- originally bronze and silver, now primarily brass -- its predecessor likely was just called a "horn." The first trumpets were developed as signaling instruments for the military and religious ceremonies.

A huge range. A high quality instrument could cost as much as $10,000. A decent trumpet suitable for a student might be found new for as little as $250 (be very wary of any new trumpet that costs less) or used for as little as $150 or so.

Personally I think the trumpet is louder, but I also play the trumpet so this answer might be a little bias. All the directors say the sax is but personally I think trumpets rock the house. Trumpets were specifically designed in the Middle ages to anounce the arrivall of an important event whereas the saxophone was created to give a melody that flows everywhere. Trumpets were made to be loud!

Cornet, though a cornet is basically the same thing, the design of the valve pipes etc. are more circular looking then the classic trumpet. Both make the same sound and are interchangable, the look is just a bit different.

I suggest just finding the music and practicing it as often as you can. Eventually you'll get it.

it depends. I think that the fingerings for flute are more complicated then the trumpet, but some people would find it easier to play the flute. It could be hard to blow into either. If you want to play one of them, I would suggest trying both of them and then choosing which ever one you like.

Unscrew the cap on the top of the valve and pull out the valve. Make sure it is clean and apply valve oil to the valve. Depending on how stuck it is and if the euphonium has not been played in a long time will determine how much valve oil you will have to use. After you have oiled the valve put the valve back in, making sure the guide is lined up, and then screw back on the top cap finger tight. If the valve is really stuck and you can not get it out you should take the euphonium to a instrument repair shop so you don't damage the instrument.

Cornets and Flugelhorns and basically the same as a trumpet, but they have different bore types and different tubing shapes that make the tonal qualities different. Depending on what mean by similar, other instruments can be considered similar. French Horns are similar in that they have three valves (normally) and have similar playing characteristics, they are just normally in a different key. A baritone horn is similar in that most of the fingering positions are the same, and you can play trumpet music on a baritone without transposing. The same can be said for a euphonium, except that euphonium players normally play bass clef music instead of treble.

Use Autosol or rubbing compound and buff it Assuming it is an old button, you do not want to remove the patina. Do not use Brasso or naval jelly. When I buy an old brass British cap badge, I clean it with a tooth brush and tooth paste. That removes any dirt and cleans it just enough to look a little brighter.

There are a number of reasons why your trumpet might not make any noise.

It could be that you are not your not buzzing your lips.

Often it might be because the valves have not been put back in the right place after they have been oiled, so make sure that the number on the valves is facing the mouthpiece.

If it still doesn't work after you have re-arranged the valves you should take the trumpet to a specialist and ask their help.

I just bought one in good condition for $10.00 but realistically speaking the horn in question is worth from $80.00-$150.00 depending on condition.
