It could symbolize her heart being so torn between Edward, and Jacob. And how bad she feels, being the cause of a huge war, and so many deaths.

But after reassurance from her mother and a compromise with Edward, she agreed to get married to him. In Breaking Dawn Part I, the song Thousand Years by Christina Perri is played when Bella walks down the aisle to marry Edward.

its called eclipse because it signifies how Jacob cant compete with Edward. Bella thinks of Jacob as her own personal sun and at the end of the book when she tells him this he says "the clouds i can handle but i cant fight an eclipse" meaning he cant even compete against Edward. Jacob is the sun and Edward is the moon and during an eclipse the moon covers up the sun meaning Edward will overshadow Jacob personally i think that is genius to think of Edward and Jacob as the sun and moon during an eclipse and to title the 3rd book eclipse
