A wrestler needs to finish in the top eight of the governing national tounament
AnswerWhile the above answer may be true, let's expand upon the issue further. To become a collegiate All-American wrestler one should have experience in and consider the following:
1. Cardiovasular training - This is essential due to the physical extertion of the sport.
2. Determine your strengths and weaknesses - consider having several matches video taped to analyze your skills and decide where improvement is required.
3. Expand your skills and further your technique. Daily drills will be essential to acccomplishing this task.
4. Work to better your coordination, flexibility and overall physical strength.
5. Consider joining an off season wrestling club, camp or clinic to further hone your skills and maintain your level of physical fitness.
6. Aside from the physical aspects, maintaining a qualifying GPA is a requirement.
The following information is from the National Collegiate Wrestling Association 2005-2006 Wrestling Plan:Article 2 - ELIGIBILITY OF WRESTLERS
NCWA wrestlers are limited to a total of 4 years of competition (consecutive or not) in the NCWA, NCAA,NJCAA, NAIA or any national organization and any combination thereof, one year of which may be while enrolled in a Graduate School program for a degree (not just attending post-graduate classes).
Student/Wrestlers must be currently enrolled and attending a minimum of 6-units during the NCWA season regardless of the school's academic calendar. While you are competing, if classes are in session, you must be attending classes.
An institution shall not permit any wrestler to represent their team in collegiate competition within the NCWA unless that wrestler maintains the minimum academic eligibility requirements of that institution. Students must be satisfactorily progressing toward a degree.
It is the responsibility of the individual wrestler and his coach to monitor academic status. The NCWA does not track individual academic performance but will uphold the academic institution's decisions regarding eligibility.
All Student/Wrestlers must electronically register with the NCWA in order to be eligible for practice, travelor to compete on or for any NCWA member institution. No wrestler may practice, compete or travel in any NCWA event until their Electronic Individual Wrestler Registration and their Waiver and Release of Liability Form have been properly completed and submitted to the NCWA. Deadline for submitting the Electronic Individual Wrestler Registration is February 15th of each season.
Any NCWA team that enters an ineligible wrestler in competition in an NCWA event shall forfeit all competitions in which the ineligible wrestler competed. All team points and all individual "National NCWA Points" will be lost to the team and its members. Additional violations may result in sanctions and fines, included but not limited to, a team being banned from competition within the NCWA for a year or longer.
Consider contacting the NCWA for their current guidelines or consulting your team coach.

Who was the resident of desning hall Suffolk between1780-1825?
I am descended from the King family that resided at Desning Hall, Gazeley, Suffolk from in the 1700's until 1927. The first of the family to reside there were John & Lucy King (nee Cornell). From them I think it went to their second son William King. After he died it went to their third son, James Cornell King, who married Mary Halls. From them to their son Arthur Cornell King. Arthur married his cousin Eliza King. Their son Sidney Arthur King was the last King family member to reside there, departing in 1927 and moving to nearby Higham. I am not sure of dates but the answer to your question is amongst these names, probably John and Lucy King. Desning Hall was occupied by the King Family from the late 1700's until 1927. The first members of the King family to live at Desning Hall were John King and his wife Lucy (nee Cornell) and their children. This was probably between 1780 and 1825.
Can I get into UW-Madison with a act score of 23 but a 4.0 GPA and being really involved?
It depends. From what it sounds like, you did not challenge yourself very much in your academic work. Having a 4.0 and then a 23 on the ACT generally means that you took easy classes in high school and were unprepared for the test. The people who review your application will notice that. With that being said, if you put a lot of work into many different extra-curricular activities (i.e. student council, sports, National Honor Society, band, etc.) then you might be alright. I remember a friend of mine almost got turned away from Madison for having a 4.0, a 26 on the ACT and being in 2 different sports. If you write good essays (make sure you have people edit them), and you continue to work hard in your senior year, your chances of getting in are fairly good in my opinion.
By the way, you can always retake the ACT. Study harder and improve on the sections you did worst on.
Why is The University of Wisconsin a good college?
It is widely recognized as an institution of high quality for both academics and partying. Playboy magazine, in listing the top party schools, once left Wisconsin off its list because it was so far off the charts. It is consistently a world leader in the science, engineering, biology, and medical fields, as well as social sciences such as History.
