Whose picture is on the 100 dollar bill?
Since 1914 it has been a picture of Benjamin Franklin with Independence Hall on the reverse.

To correct and expand on the prior answer:
> Bills are printed, not stamped.
> Watermarks (not "an extra face") and security strips were only introduced starting with bills printed in the 1990s. A 1981 bill will not have them.
> The only significant security feature on older bills, as noted, are small red and blue fibers embedded in the bill's paper.
i just got one tonight i have many old bills in my safe but not this old i mean in hundreds TO TELL IF ALL MONEY IS REAL ----- all money is stamped at high pressure most times if not all there not even if you look on the back of your bill im sure its uneven also from old to new there is micro fibers red and blue you. but that doesnt mean its real. to tell if money is real any where there is strange designs like jacksons shirt. scratch his shirt with your nail. feel the ridges. also and new 100$ bill or any new uncolored bill that has a face. the face is on the out side get a new bill dirty p you finger ashes or something not two dirty rub the water face then lay it on any surface and you can see it on top not in the bill
No, watermarks and security strips weren't introduced until the 1990s.
Before that, the only security feature was small red and blue fibers embedded in the cloth-based "paper" the bills were printed on.

What is the value of an uncirculated US 1 dollar bill?
Not enough details to answer. Please post a new question listing the bill's date, its seal color, and whether there is a small letter right next to the date.
You don't have to provide the serial number because that's almost never a factor in a bill's value.
Why does the 1953 2 dollar bill have a red seal?
Before 1966 there were several different kinds of paper money in circulation. In addition to Federal Reserve Notes there were silver certificates and U.S. Notes. Once silver was withdrawn from coins there was no need for silver certificates, and U.S. Notes were essentially the same as FRNs so they too were suspended. There's more information at the link below
What is the value of a 1950 US 20 dollar Federal Reserve Note from the bank of Atlanta GA?
Its value depends on what letter if any is next to the date. If there's an E, the bill has a retail value of about $50 in circulated condition and $90 if uncirculated. For any other letter or blank, values are much lower - $24 and $35, respectively.
Note that the bill was only distributed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta; it was printed in Washington DC.
This is an uncommon error that happens when a sheet of paper on which a set of bills is printed is accidentally flipped during its passes through the printing press. Retail value depends on the bill's condition and how pronounced the printing is, but it could sell for in the $300 to $500 range.

What is the value of a 1950 B US 50 dollar bill?
In worn condition it's only worth face value. In better shape it might retail for up to $70. A nice uncirculated one could bring $100.
Despite their age, most series-1950 $50 bills are not scarce. $50 was a considerable amount of money in the 1950s so (relatively) high-denomination bills didn't see a lot of circulation.
What is the value of a 1928 B US 5 dollar bill with a red seal?
As of 06/2014 approximate prices are:
Circulated: $6 to $10 depending on the bill's condition
Uncirculated: $40
Red Printing
The red seal indicates it's a United States Note, a form of currency printed up till about 1971
Serial Numbers
A bill's serial number is a counter and a security feature. In most cases it doesn't affect a bill's value or help to identify it. Some collectors specialize in bills with low serial numbers (e.g. 00000005) or unusual patterns (12344321) so these can bring above-average prices.
DISCLAIMER: The values quoted are market averages as of the date shown, but may be different for an individual bill due to variations in quality and other factors. Also the wholesale (buying) price of a bill will be less than the selling (retail) price. A reputable currency dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation based on an in-person inspection.
How much is a 1 dollar bill worth with red writing on it?
The red printing (not writing; bills are printed, not hand-written) indicates that you have a United States Note.
$1 US Notes were printed from 1862 to 1928, while other denominations were printed as late as the 1966 series so it's not possible to give an answer without more information. Please post a new question with the bill's date; alternately you can check a site such as the one below under Related Links.
Is there a us bill higher than 100 dollars?
the highest United States currency bill currently is the one hundred dollar bill. But the United States used to print $500, $1000, $5000 and $10,000 bills up till 1945.
A few special $100,000 were printed in 1934 and 1935 but they were only used for transactions inside the government, and were never put into circulation.
You can still use denominations higher than $100, and you can find them in currency shops and auctions. But even though you can spend them it doesn't make much sense because they're worth more than face value to collectors.
What is the value of a 1914 US 5 dollar bill?
Two varieties of $5 bill were issued in 1914. Both are Federal Reserve Notes but they didn't use the same green printing we're familiar with because that hadn't become standard at the time.
If your bill has blue printing, auction prices as of 07/2010 are in the range $40.-$70 for a circulated bill and over $100 for an uncirculated one.
If it has red printing, those prices are considerably higher: $200.-$325 circulated and $1200 or more if uncirculated.
Not enough information. There are several different kinds of printing errors that can occur. Please post a new question with a more detailed description. Thanks!

certificate it would retail for face value up to maybe $8 depending on condition.
