Tench was also credited with production assistance on this album and contributed guitar and backing vocals to the promotional tour which followed. The tour started at Santa Clara, California on September 30 1978 and ended on March 19th 1979, in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Tench also featured on a video from this tour entitled Van Morrison in Ireland, a video that has been described as one of Morrison's best live performances to date. By the end of the tour Tench had played on classic Morrison songs such as Brown Eyed Girl, Moondance, Sweet Thing, Into the Mystic and Gloria. I would love to believe that Van Hansis is 6 ft tall but that is not possible. Do you think a 6 ft tall man would be 6 inches taller than a 5'3 tall female. NO! His imb page says he is 5'11 and a 1/4 but that is way too tall also look and him with Alexandra Chando who is clearly 5'3 and you will see he is not too much taller than she is. So that would make him either 5'8 and a half or possibly 5'9 and a half. Jake Silbermann also claims 6'2 but this is not right either. There is not more than 3 inches difference between him and Van Hansis. So at most Jake Sillbermann is 6'0 and a half but most likely he is either 5'11 or 5'11 and a half I would say the latter is right. Celebs lie about their height all the time but this one is easy to see that Van Hansis is clearly no where near 6'0. Final verdict 5'8 and a half awarded to the plaintiff Van Hansis.

I'm not sure. I've never been able to figure that one out. For one thing, Van Morrison himself has publicly stated that he does not like pop music; he grew up listening to jazz, blues, country, R&B, and maybe some early rock n' roll. He developed a highly unique style throughout his career that may not always reach the mainstream, but all of his albums are interesting and worth hearing. As for the Beatles, all they were famous for was their image and dreadfully overproduced pop music. I've never understood people's fascination with them, and I never will. Even Van stated that he doesn't even admire the Beatles, or Elvis for that matter. So the unfortunate answer to the question is that people choose manufactured crap or over genuine musical talent.
