The logo is based on the Inukshuk (stone landmark or cairn) built for the Northwest Territories Pavilion at Expo 86 and donated to the City of Vancouver after the event. It is now used as a landmark on English Bay Beach.

The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics will feature 15 events: Alpine skiing, biathlon, bobsleigh, cross-country skiing, curling, figure skating, freestyle skiing, ice hockey, luge, nordic combined, short track speed skating, skeleton, ski jumping, snowboarding and speed skating. There are 86 Gold medals which will be split over the 15 sports mentioned above.
Each hole and every course has its own predetermined par. Par is the standard number of strokes set for each hole or for the entire course. there are 4 par 3's, 10 par 4's and 4 par 5's
There are always 18 pars on an 18 hole golf course. Par is considered to be the score an expert should require to finish a particular hole. now, perhaps the above (4 par 3's, 10 par 4's and 4 par 5's) is true on a "standard" or regulation (par 72) course. But there are also courses that are par 69, 70, 71, 73 and so on. These will obviously not follow the standard breakdown. Then also consider "executive" courses, consisting of only par 3's and par 4's. These are often par 58 but again, these can vary as well.
No Olympics in 2010, next is 2012, London
The 3 mascots' names are Sumi, the Animal Spirit, Quatchi, the Sasquatch and Miga, the Sea Bear. The 3 mascots also have a sidekick, Mukmuk. He's only seen in cyberspace. My personal favourite is Mukmuk~
This depends on what country you live in. For example, in the UK the Paralympics will be broadcast on BBC in the UK. There is has not been an announcement yet if any US channel wil broadcast the Paralympics.
But no matter where you live, you can watch the Paralympics on Paralympic Sport TV. This is an internet site that is supported by the IPC (international paralympic committee) and will broadcast live events for 5-6 hours everyday from their internet site. You can find a schedule of live broadcasts on the link below.

The most recently added sport to the Olympic events is skateboarding. Skateboarding made its debut at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. The competition featured two disciplines: street and park. The street event involves performing tricks on obstacles like stairs, rails, and curbs, while the park event involves performing tricks on a bowl-shaped course with various transitions and obstacles.
Skateboarding was added to the Olympics to appeal to a younger audience and to make the Games more inclusive of urban and youth culture. It was one of several new sports added to the 2020 Games, including surfing, sport climbing, karate, and baseball/softball.
