How do you get an accurate reading on ear thermometer?

tympanic, or reading from the ear, is not the best way to check a temperature especially in young children and babies. The best way is rectal or under the arm. But to answer your question, in a child, you want to pull the ear lobe gently down and out. In and adult you want to pull the top of the ear up and back. This opens the ear canal and allows for the thermometer to get an accurate reading.

What major stores offer layaway Walmart Target Sears?

Neither one of these have lawaway, at least not in Alabama. K-Mart still has layaway and has just recently aired a commerical about it knowing that their competitor Wal-Mart stopped.

-------------------------------

The above answer is partially correct. Walmart does always offer laywaway on Jewelry items if you specifically ask the jewelry associate to do so. Also in select stores you can put specially ordered guns (guns that the store does not carry instock, but specially orders in-----normally requires 50% minimum down) on layaway.

This year also (2011) customers in the middle part of Oct. and associates the 1st part of Oct will be able to add items to layaway (not blitz items-------day after thanksgiving sale items), until dec. (before christmas). Some stores are planning not to have any new items added to layaway on the day of Blitz to avoid confusion to customers.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

A hat is a headcovering. It may be worn for protection against the elements, for religious reasons, for safety, or as a fashion accessory.[1] In the past, hats were an indicator of social status. In the military, they denote rank and regiment. There are hats for men and hats for women, as well as hats worn by both sexes. Purveyors of men's hats are called hatters and purveyors of women's hats are called milliners. Hat size is determined by measuring the circumference of a person's head about 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) above the ears and dividing by pi. In the UK, an equivalent hat size is an eighth of an inch smaller than in the US.[2] Inches or centimeters may be used depending on the manufacturer. Felt hats can be stretched for a custom fit. Cheaper hats come in standard sizes, such as small, medium, large. Some hats, like baseball caps, are adjustable. hat consists of four main parts:[3] * Crown - the portion of a hat covering the top of the head * Brim - a projection of stiff material from the bottom of the hat's crown horizontally all around the circumference of the hat * Peak - a stiff projection at the front, to shade or shield the eyes from sun and rain * Sweatband or hatband - a ribbon or band that runs around the bottom edge of the hat. The sweatband may be adjustable with a cord at the top Joseph Stalin (born as Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili ) (December 18, 1878 - March 5, 1953) (Russian: Иосиф Сталин; Georgian: იოსებ სტალინი) was General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union's Central Committee from 1922 until his death in 1953. During that time he established the regime now known as Stalinism. As one of several Central Committee Secretariats, Stalin's formal position was originally limited in scope, but he gradually consolidated power and became the de facto party leader and dictator[2] of the Soviet Union. Stalin launched a command economy in the Soviet Union, forced rapid industrialization of the largely rural country and collectivization of its agriculture by confiscating the lands of farmers, who Stalin derogatorily referred to as "kulaks" - millions of whom were killed, exiled to Siberia, or died of starvation after their land, homes, meager possessions, and ability to earn an existence from the land were taken to fulfill Stalin's vision of massive "factory farms." While the Soviet Union transformed from an agrarian economy to a major industrial powerhouse in a short span of time, millions of people died from hardships and famine that occurred as a result of the severe economic upheaval and party policies. At the end of 1930s, Stalin launched the Great Purge, a major campaign of political repression. During the continued repressions in the country under Stalin millions of people who were a threat to the Soviet politics or suspected of being such a threat were executed or exiled to Gulag labor camps in remote areas of Siberia or Central Asia. A number of ethnic groups in Russia were forcibly resettled for political reasons. Although during Stalin's rule, the Soviet Union it didnt go so well...
