Why are you interested in becoming an apprentice?
Here are reasons why people want to be apprentice mostly (and why I do):
1. Firepaw, from the original series (now called Fireheart/star), was an apprentice.
2. Almost all of the books have the prophecy cats apprentices.
3. Apprentices are young; the person would have a cat with a long life ahead of them. It's not too young or too old. Of course, new warriors are young, but they'll have a shorter life to live in their Clan.
4. Training. You get to feel more like a warrior cat. All warriors/medicine cats go though training first. As apprentices, you'll know your Clan better because you'll look after them, you'll know all the fighting techniques (even medicine cats), and you'll know sorta the feeling of being one by going on patrols (even medicine cats. They'll be gathering herbs, but still). You'll feel the feeling an apprentice felt when they were made a warrior/medicine cat.
What book does brambleclaw die?

The newly appointed leader of a Clan must decide on a new deputy before moonhigh, and also must state his or her name before the body of the old deputy so the spirit of the old deputy will hear and approve the leader's choice.
When the leader dies or retires, the current deputy will become the new leader.
A cat may not become deputy unless he or she has mentored at least one apprentice.
A deputy can resign from their position if he or she wishes to do so, for instance to retire as an elder. They can also be deposed by the leader if considered unfit for the position (like Tallstar deposing Mudclaw in Starlight). In either of the cases, a new deputy will be named before moonhigh.
Tasks of a Clan deputy include:
- Assisting the leader in their tasks; they are a sort of "apprentice leader"
- Assigning border patros and listening to their reports
- Organizing warrior trainings to keep up their skills (like Brambleclaw did in Twilight)
- Making reports to the Clan leader
- Substitute for the Clan leader on Gatherings and in battles if they are unavailable (like Fireheart did for Blustar after the fire)
- As a deputy is also a warrior, he is expected to carry out warrior tasks as well (patrolling, hunting, mentoring etc). They do not have a den of their own, but sleep with the other warriors.
If the deputy is unavailable, the senior warriors will distribute the deputy's tasks between them (like the ThunderClan senior warriors did when Graystripe was away, or when Tawnyspots was sick during Bluestar's Prophecy).
Who was Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight's kits?
Their kits where believed to be jaykit/paw/feather hollykit/paw/leaf and lionkit/paw/blaze, but they are really leafpool and crowfeathers kits. Squirrelflight lied and told the clan that they where her kits and not leafpools because the kits were half clan and leafpool was a medicine cat. But hollyleaf died when the tunnels collapsed while she was trying to run away from her clan to start a new life. Squirrelflight tells Ashfur that hollleaf,jayfeather,and lionblaze are not her kits because Ashfur was going to let them burn in a forest fire because he once loved Squirrelflight but she chose Brambleclaw over him so he said to her letting her kits die would hurt her in away.Then Squirrelflight tells Ashfur that they are not her kits and he wont hurt her by killing them. Later you find out that jayfeather and lionblaze are really Leafpools and Crowfeather of Wind Clan kits. Squirrelflight and Leafpool lied to protect Leafpools kits and Squirrelflight told everone that they where Squirrelflights and Brambleclaws kits. In Sunrise Leafpool resigns as medicine cat leaving jayfeather as a full medicine cat and Leafpool as a warrior.

How can blaze the cat control fire?
Blaze the Cat can control fire due to her pyrokinetic abilities. This allows her to generate and manipulate flames at will, giving her the power to create fire-based attacks and defenses. Additionally, she can also absorb and harness fire energy to enhance her abilities.

Yes, Breezepelt wrongly believes that Jayfeather is in love with Poppyfrost and that's why he wanted to kill her. Breezepelt's misguided perception stems from his jealousy towards other cats and his desire to cause trouble within ThunderClan.
No, it's impossible. A she-cat is not ready to have kits until she is around a year old.
Rusetfur was growing old and weakening with age. During the battle between Thunderclan and Shadowclan (Which was caused by Tigerstar and Hawkfrost convincing Ivypaw that claiming back land that Firestar had given away would prove her clan stronger than Shadowclan thought they were. Ivypaw went on to convince Firestar that she had seen Shadowclan taking over their part of the forest in a dream sent by Starclan.) Russetfur leaped ontop of Firestar, digging her claws/teeth into the back of his neck. She only meant to hurt him (I think..) but Lionblaze saw that his leader was dying due to loss of blood and oxygen. Lionblaze raced over to the two, hurling Russetfur off of Firestar with the power of his blow. Russetfur died almost immediately after hitting the ground, and Lionblaze was horrified.
I am guessing that they will all find out that Ivypaw is turing to the dark side, and I was surprised that none of them suspected it when she was acting so sour, completely ignoring Dovepaw.
Well, Ivypaw isn't evil, she was just tricked by Tigerstar and Hawkfrost.
If shrewpaw still lived would he be mates with squrrielflight?
It's impossible to say for certain, as it depends on the choices the characters would have made in their lives. Shrewpaw and Squirrelflight had a close friendship, so it's possible they could have developed romantic feelings for each other if Shrewpaw had survived.
