It depends on what you are welding. If you are doing welding on mild steel go with MIG welding; if it is aluminum or stainless steel then use TIG welding.

TIG welding gives a nice looking finish. If you just want to get a decent look, then MIG is preferable and easy.

you have to defend yourself for a start but when he sucks you in you shoot bome eggs in his mouth. then you keep doing that until he uses his body and goes over you run away from his shadow then fire the bome eggs at him he uses a lazer to make it harder to die so you will have to defend yourself a bit more then he will suck you in use gold feathers until you are over the lazer then quickly as possible shoot another egg in his mouth. he will explode then when you drop by to see him he only has a talking welders head sitting on the floor.

There is no degree needed to become a mig welder. It would be a good idea to at least take some welding instruction in high school if it is available or training at a vocational school if you can afford it. This will give you a better chance at landing a job than a person of comparable age and experience. More importantly to being good at welding is the ability to keep your mouth shut and your eyes and ears open. That way you will learn from the journeymen who are willing to teach the tricks of the trade. Rarely will they waste their time and effort on someone who already knows it all.

You should never look directly at an arc, no matter what the distance. If you need or want to observe, you must have the same eye protection the weldor is using! The problem is eye injury from an arc (this is called 'flashing' your eyes) does not hurt or bother you sometimes until several hours after it has happened. You cannot tell by discomfort or pain if you are too close. By the time the pain sets in, it is too late, and believe me, the pain in your eyes is excruciating. Easy as one,two and three. There are four primary wires coming from you service panel.(provided you have three phase service) you can check by looking at the weather head on the roof. if it has three wires you have single phase but if it has four then you have three phase. the hot wires will be black,red and brown. the neutral will be white or green. the welder should have a manual that will give you the lead phase wire(most likely black to black) the other two hot wires can hook to any other hot wire. The neutral goes to the white or green and posts to the panel. If the welder has a switching power supply then you must have a three phase converter.

Most welding jobs are considered non gender specific. I have trained both men and women and found that women usually take the training more seriously and become better than their male counterparts. Keep in mind that welding is usually hot, dirty, smokey, heavy work and some women cannot compete. Those that do can earn as much as men can. This like most trades pays according to skill level. howdy howdy its me cleem hahahahah I have been welding for one day I am the best yall got nothing on me.

I'm from Edmonton Alberta. I have operated a welding rig for 12 years and as far as I can tell there is no standard rate. I have heard of rates any where between $65 to $140/hr depending on location (how far north) and the amount of skill required. Demand at the time usually determines the rates, 2005/2006 were great years for rig welders here, 2007 not so good. In Edmonton now, rates seem to be around 85 for "B" welders and 70 for journeyman. I agree, here in Michigan I've seen many rates, the highest was for tig welding Stainless steel/aluminum That was $15 per inch, but tig is always a little more expensive.

Well it's all about skill level are you talking about welding a lawn mower for your grandmother or welding p91 in a pipe rack in July...

I my self don't enjoy welding but it's all im truly good at when i first thought of welding i just knew the money was good. Well i was rite its good but what i didnt know was that the hours are long you never work neer home,if you have a wife you love then welding is not the thing for you. that being told ill tell you about the money.

my first job on the road was 700miles from home working 7days a week 12 hours a day and i was making around 1900.0 a week the job lasted two months not bad ...From 300.0 a week to 1900.0 a week i was hooked. jobs on the road pay the most. my plan was to weld for a few years to put my wife thrue med school well its hard to keep a marrage if you are working 84hours a week all over the us. I now have been on the road nine years, and the money is even better i take home around 3500.0 a week working 84 hours but my skill level is so much more than most. if you want to weld every day and have no time to spend your money and no one to spend it with then welding mite be the thing for you. im only telling you this is no one was there for me to let me know this before i started welding. if i could go back in time well.....................you cant turn the clock back ever so do your homework ! well talk to old welders we all have the same story or very colse to the same. Hell yea! It depends on what you set the amps to and how well the person is grounded but a good shock from a TIG welder will definitely stand you up. Be careful though, crank the amps up to high and your dead. I've heard stories of guys getting zapped by relatively low voltage with a higher amperage, leaving work just as normal and then having a heart attack a few hours later. Electricity is not something to play with.
