No. You have to convert the video to a format used by the media player. A Quicktime video is an Apple/Mac file. Use Quicktime player to view it or convert it.

Why? Windows Media Player can only play .wav files.

Windows Media Player will not allow copying or ripping songs from a networked computer's library. If the computers are networked you can use copy and paste via "My Computer", or you can drag and drop the files from one music folder to the other. If they are not linked together, then you could use a thumb drive to copy the music from one machine to the other.

Your Windows Media Player may not be playing the video you downloaded because the movie is the wrong file type. Windows Media Player has a tendency to not play certain file types, so check that it is a .wmv (Windows Media Video) file, and that may solve your problem.

If it isn't a .wmv file you most likely won't be able to get the video up without downloading the appropriate codec. A much simpler way to go about this instead of getting each codec on its own, is to download an application called VLC player, it is completely free and will play pretty much any video format you can find.

VLC is not a file or media file. It is a Media Player, encoder and streaming that supports many audio and video codecs and file formats such as FLV,3GP, WAV, MPEG, Audio formats like AAC, AC3 and MP3.

You take the plug that was included and hook it up to one of the ports in your computer. Which ever one it fits in is the one it charges to, you also download songs that way. When it is plugged in your media player will turn on and have a little picture of a PC and a bunch of Z's.

Media Center Extenders are part of the Windows operating system. The devices allow for connectivity over a network to another computer running other MS systems such as Windows 7 or Vista and stream the media onto the extender devices.

There are a lot oif input devices that is needed to that kind of media player like Iphone and adnnroid software needed for it.

Ipods are designed to work with itunes and only itunes. Windows Media Player, being a Microsoft product is not an official client for synching ipods. You will need to install itunes or find some alternative program for updating your ipod.

There is a WMP (windows media player) plugin for synching ipods from WMP... although its not free. The link is below.

This is very dependent on how exactly you are connecting to the internet if you have a high speed connection (DSL, Cable, Etc). If you are then try the following based on what is true:

1) make sure you have a good signal and connection speed to your wireless router. If you do then chances are you will need to adjust the TX and RX rates on your wireless card to match the router. (see router documentation)

2) If you are hardwired then go to dslreports.com and under tools use the speedtest and tweaktest

If you can see videos on Windows Media Player, then they are probably the correct file name extension (format), but not always. It is best to check the format before attempting to import it into Windows Movie Maker.

To check the file name extension (format), right-click the file and choose Properties from the drop-down menu. Note the extension (example: .wmv, .mpg).

If the file type is one of the following, it can be imported into Windows Movie Maker:

.asf, .avi, dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv

However, you can't just drag and drop the media from Windows Media Player into Windows Movie Maker. You must open the original file location of the media and import it that way.

Windows Media Center most of the time comes with your computer, so it won't be on the regular programs list on Control Panel list. Instead, to the right of the programs list, there is a small button that says "Turn Windows Features On or Off". If you go here, then Media Center will be under Media Features. Uncheck it, then click ok. It will take a couple to minutes to save the changes, then you will have to restart your computer. Presto! The program is essentially dead, and you won't be able to access it unless you turn it on. I had to disable Windows Media Center because of problems with popups and missing files, but now it runs smoothly.
