Calgary host the Olympics in 1988 and events were held in venue in or around Calgary.

1) Bjørn Dæhlie, cross country skier from Norway - holds the Winter Olympics record for most gold medals won (8) and most total medals won (12 - 8 gold and 4 silver).

2) Eric Heiden, speed skater from the United States - holds the Winter Olympics record for most gold medals won (5) in a single Olympics (1980 Games in Lake Placid).

3) Raisa Smetanina - cross country skier from USSR - won medals in 5 consecutive Winter Games (1976, 1980, 1984, 1988, 1992).

4) Cecilia Colledge, figure skater from the United States - youngest competitor ever at the Winter Games. She placed 8th in ladies singles at the 1932 Games in Lake Placid at the age of 11 years, 73 days.

5) Carl August Kronlund, curler from Sweden - oldest medallist ever at the Winter Games. He won a silver medal with Sweden's curling team at the 1924 Games in Chamonix at the age of 58 years, 155 days.

No. It's too hot in the Bahamas and you'll need snow for the skiing and snowboarding events (that's why it's called snowboarding- you ride the board on snow). Even if you tried to import snow from somewhere cold and dump it on the Bahamas, it would probably melt because the Bahamas is too hot for snow. Plus, the Olympics are often held in large cities. I don't know if Nassau would be big enough to hold the Olympics (you'll need alot of hotels to accomodate all those atheletes and visitors) and a lot of free space to build the necessary buildings and other things required for the Olympics.

The next Winter Olympics will be in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 2010.

There are sever Olympic Gold Medalist that were born in Utah. Joss Christensen was recently added to the list of Gold Medalist born in Utah.

As of the 2008 Games, Pakistan has won 10 medals in Summer Olympic competition (3 gold, 3 silver, 4 bronze). All three of the gold medals, and 8 of the 10 total medals, were won the by field hockey team. Pakistan has also won a bronze in wrestling and a bronze in boxing.

It is Summer Olympic games only in 2012 (not winter), and the host city is London, England. There are no Winter Olympics in 2012. The next Winter Olympics will be held in Sochi, Russia in 2014.
