When a special prop is needed, as was likely for "Alex Russo's" wand, either the prop department, model builders, or other craftsmen build them. While the program is in production, the Prop-Master inventories all of the props after every shooting, and returns them to a storage facility, often located on the soundstage, or near by.

Sometimes, after production ends, select props are sold to the public in auctions. Often, however, they are either returned to the Prop House, the studio prop warehouse, or destroyed.
