It is common in certain SSRI's and other 3rd gerenation medication like seroquel and Zyprexa to slow down your metabolism and I would definetly have your Thyroid checked once a year if you are gaining weight if diet and exercise do not control weight gain.

Are you sure this is correct? 25mg of xanax is asking for instant death unless you mean a combined 25mg over many days. If that's the case then it most likely would show up even in the least sensitive and cheapest urine tests. edit: yes it will 100% positively show up

there's only one way to beat the test. at exactly 46 minutes before the test you have to take double the Xanax you took last night. that way you over power and push out last nights dose and xannys don't show up until 50 mins after you take them. MAKE SURE YOU WAIT 40-45 MINS

yes. I had to take them together (crushed, in applesauce) for 3 nights in a row after surgery. Just relax, and get some rest. Drink plenty of water when you wake up bc you may have a little cotton mouth

get to a hospital right away. it is hard to die from an overdose on xanax unless it is mixed with alcohol or other drugs but def. possible. don't ever take something like that lightly. error on the side of cation when someone's life is on the line.

The only medically researched method of weaning youself off benzodiazepines such as Xanax was done by Dr. Heather Ashton of England. For 12 years (1982-1994) she ran a benzodiazepine withdrawal clinic at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Her work in the field of benzodiazepine ("benzos") withdrawal syndrome resulted in what has become known as the Ashton Manual.

You can take both drugs together as long as there is a medical indication for it and you are under the care of a physician who is aware of the side effects of each medication. Taken together they would likely make you, at the very least, a bit light headed, and probably drowsy. You should not drive or do anything that requires extreme alertness until you see how you react to taking the two meds together, or until your body has adjusted to taking them after a period of time.

.5 mg. of Xanax equals 20 mg. of Serax. Xanax 'kicks in' a lot quicker than Serax, and is definitely noticeable when it grabs hold, while Serax is slower to work, and more mellow, but both are relatively short-acting compared to Valium. Take 2mg. of Xanax and it hits fairly hard and goes away hard, and leaves a "hangover" feeling. Take 80mg. of Serax and it's easy all the way. 4mg. of Xanax feels like a mini-Quaalude to me?! So, I'd have to say that Xanax is a lot heavier than Serax, but I'd rather stay with Serax. Xanax can mess you up quick and be a whole lot harder to kick too.

no- on a standard dip stick test or tippy cup test it will show up as xanax...However, if you have the urine sample sent to a lab, it will show up as benzoziazepine...
