Hello, remove the plastic coverings around the wiper area and the part that is mounted to the strut,(vacuum control) use a quarter inch 10 mm and a swivil to get to it thru the brake line booster area ,,, a good flashlite is a must
There are valve cover bolts around the perimeter of the valve cover. You want these tight but not as tight as you can get them.
There are 8 bolts that hold it on. First remove the cover to the coil packs, Then the coil packs then the vallve cover,

There are 4 bolts going through the center of the valve cover.
The valve cover on a 1996 Cadillac is held on by several bolts around the edge. After removing any hoses, fuel rail, or anything else in the way, remove the bolts to pull the valve cover off.
Remove each valve cover (four bolts.) Remove the gasket and set a new one in place. Set the valve cover in place and tighten the bolts to spec.
89inch pounds is the torque rating for the valve cover bolts
you just pull the three bolts holding the valve cover down. the bolts run right down the middle of the valve covers. pull the valve cover off, replace the old gasket with the new one and tighten the valve covers back on.

The valve cover bolts need to be torqued to 72 to 84 IN-LBS
