The name off all the continents joined together is Pangaea they were joined together more than 200 million years ago and started to drift apart due to the tectonic plates in the earths core. They are constantly moving apart. However we know that they were all joined together because fossils that were discovered in china are also being discovered in North America this is because dinosaurs used to walk over continents. The same soil and rock is being discovered in different parts of the world e.g. south America and Africa. Also we can tell this because if you draw it like a jigsaw puzzle you can see that south America and Africa join together. The pipelines going from America and England are also being pulled apart as the plates move further away from each other. India broke off from Africa and drifted apart until it crashed into Asia and the crash was so massive the Himalayan mountains were produced. India is still today moving more into Asia causing the mountains to grow bigger. This is proof that the continents once used to be joined together as one country called Pangaea.
because it is uniting all the continents!
When all the continents were joined together as one supercontinent, it was called Pangaea.
The large supercontinent formed when all of the continents were joined together was called Pangaea. Pangaea existed around 335 million years ago and began breaking apart around 175 million years ago, eventually leading to the formation of the continents we have today.
Geraghty Period
The oldest of the super continents was called Rodinia
Dinosaurs first evolved during the Triassic, when all the continents were joined together. Hence, the spread to all continents. When the continents split apart, dinosaurs still lived on all of them.
Pangea
it was about 1 billion years ago.
That supercontinent was called "Pangea".
Pangea
When all continents were connected, they were part of the supercontinent called Pangaea. Pangaea existed during the late Paleozoic and early Mesozoic eras, before breaking apart into the continents we know today.
